And since Chevy was ultra-conservative with the Z06 numbers..who knows what it will really run.

Still saying it's

but can't wait for Vette guys to go through what we've been going through for years.

"Hey guys, I took the ZR1 out today....95 degrees and humid and something is wrong...it's a total dog on power today. Feels like my old Z06."

Ohhhh, heatsoak is coming.

These cars were built for road courses...although there's been lots of talk about it on corvetteforums, I don't think the heatsoak will be as bad as what we are used to with the 55K cars. There are plenty of s/c'ed LS2 and LS3's out there with little to no heat problems. I'd imagine a GM engineered supercar would be fine in the heat.

Sweet car but if this article is accurate me thinks I'd go with a Brabus Bullit or Rocket.

There is definitely dealer markups...same thing happened when the Z06 first came out. The Shelby GT500 has been marked up forever and the used Ford GT is still going for $150,000. I think the normal markup for this car is in between $15,000-50,000. The Nissan GT-R is also about $20,000 over sticker. It's the price you have to pay to have the first one on the block.

I think the ZR1 will be the 1970 ZL1 all over again. It'll be the end of an era.

With global warmers and high oil prices right now, this should about do it for hp and this car will go down as the pinnacle of the 2003-2009 hp wars for GM.

Just can't imagine them raising the stakes any higher than this.

I can't even believe some of you guys actually are going to be ABLE to get one. You know every dealer owner in the US is gonna get first dibs on them.

Surprised if many make it to average Joes.

Here's hopin.

Anyone have the website for the "official numbers", since it does not appear to be on the "official site"?

looks cool, but for the price id settle for a clk63AMG BS.

id take the slightly slower but IMO more exclusive and better looking car.

So you know what that means it's a mid to high 10 second car with a good driver and with a "Ranger" type of a driver it (could be) a high 9 second car.
