Those are old times my friend. I am now running 8.5PSI of boost, VRP cams, and just yesterday finished up an intake that runs through my headlights I also run a 50 shot of nitrous but I will not use it against the Z06. I could ask Jamie to run me but I want to get an "average" driver in a Z06 to run me. Anybody local with a Z06 that wants to do some friendly runs?

All I know is a low 120mph trap car vs. a 130mph trap car will get ugly

I've actually spent a bunch of time researching the Z06 and I do agree that on paper they are faster than our cars. The only times we would beat them is in situations where we can lay down more than them. I also agree that a seasoned driver would woop my butt. Lets let this crap go, bro. It still doesn't change the fact that we can take them more often than not, just because our cars are easy to launch. I know people moan about the ESP, etc etc, but I have NEVER seen 500hp so easy to manage.

This was the key in my encounter, I know the Z06 (the car) is faster than my E55 (the car) but it doesn't matter how fast a car is if the driver can't drive it. I was going against the other driver. It just so happens that this guy I found out has muscle cars, fast bikes, jet skiis etc.... I would say he's a "Ranger" but he wasn't bad either. I know one thing for sure is that the exhaust on that car is loud even in stock form.

My friend is gonna bring out his Z06 next week. I have nothing to gain from staging a race. I always post the facts. Win or lose, I will report back.

My best friend has a new Z06 and we've "played" several times. From a dig, I usually win because he's 61 years old and just can't drive it out of the hole consistantly. Second gear is also a problem for him if he's not careful.

From a roll it's no contest. He kills me every time.

my dad was 82 when he got a super charged Range Rover... i have to admit i was abit worried when he insisted on driving... funny thing was he would pull over every hour to take a nap...

I had a wierd experience in a 335i once riding shotgun. We stop at the lights on a weekday evening and beside us there comes a S600 lang (really rare around here) and then my friend just floored it from a roll and we went past the s600, but immediately stopped at the next lights. I look to my right and see a gray haired couple of about 70 years of age atleast and they wont even look a bit to our side. And we look at each other and laugh with my friend and he says: "You think they will race?" laughing and he floors it from the lights and suddenly the s600 just flew past accelerating full, we were beaten really badly! That was really funny. How cool was that couple! I have never seen a s600 since around here...

In all fairness I must state that I am also 61 yrs old. Which is why I went for the E55 instead of a Z06 myself. I know my limits. LOL Even my mother could beat most people in the 55.
