I have seen one at the Paris Motor Show and it's really impressive. the New E55 is much better than the past one (and the M5 too but that's an another story).

 

Looks absolutely stunning! Can't wait to drive one!

 

Brad, first off thanks for the excellent pictures. What was your initial impression of the E55 when you saw it? What really impressed you about it? Also, what if anything surprised you or dissappointed you upon first view.

I really like the dual-spoke look on the W211 E55 AMG, and have been thinking about alternatives to the stock non-sport W211 wheels.

I've been tending toward the AMG Style IV, which is the dual-spoke found on the C-class AMG vehicles. From the pics I'd seen, the spokes seem more rounded than those in this thread.

That said, has anybody seen specs on whether the W211 AMG wheels are 'style IV' wheels, or if they're some newer variant?

We saw a fleet of about 15 at the factory. Back in October. Waiting for shipment. The quad exhaust looks great. All were silver.. NO cameras allowed!!

What impresed me the most was the overall stance and character of the car. It has the look of an aggressive sports car not a luxo-cruiser! AWESOME car!

Thanks for the response. After seeing the E500, I was concerned that the new E55 lost the aggressive look and intimidating presence of the W210 E55. I am really looking forward to seeing one in person.

That is what I like to hear!! I was going to wait and see what the new 5series/M5 will look like, but from all I have read and seen I think the new E55 is a perfect fit for me.
