If it works like it claims for the V6 compressed engines, I wonder how would it work on our V8s...

Right, Samco is somewhat of a flexible silicone hose and it is Heat wrapped.
I like the look better than misc. silicone hoses tied by clamps and transition pieces.

inside the engine bay there are seals that isolate the inside of the motor from outside elements, putting the filters behind the bumper allows the engine to get air from outside of the engine bay, the same air the runs over the radiators from the opening of the lower mesh portion of the bumper and front grille. Look at the pic of the black E55 and you will see the seal.

this would be an awesome setup, but unfortunately I have no space under my hood
And also they are just to big for our cars, but they do look nice.

I think the benefit is getting rid of the choke point that is at the inlet for the intakes. If you've seen it, not only is it blocked by plastic "fins", but it is small compared to the diameter of the rest of the intake tubing... Not to mention the bottleneck in the drivers side intake tube just past the radiator.

This is my friend Evan's Crossfire, and it was super quick when he ran me. At the time he just had the needs wings intake and he picked up a significant amount of hp over stock for an intake. Definately there is a bottle neck and it looks like it is being addressed.
