I realize that a single event cannot be all things to all people but I find the original premise for the event to be vastly more appealing than any formal racing schedule or seeing a random handful of fast cars and bikes.
Cars and bikes that can run sub-10s are interesting but no big deal. I can see as many of those as I want any time I want just 20 miles from my door. I don't need to travel 600 miles to MIR to see the same thing. Ditto for racing, bracket or otherwise.
What makes this event interesting and worth the trip is the focus on AMGs and the people from this forum. Not that it needs to be limited to just AMGs and forum people but the more it takes on the characteristics of an ordinary track day, the less interesting it is. At least to me. ($0.02 deposited.)

if i am not able to do that for some reason (i still have a few races to go in the season, and will probably crash more than once as you well know...) would you be willing to run the zx-10 that was in the video? i can attest to the fact it has nothing more than a full exhaust and a pc3.

jim, if the offer is still on to run you, i am willing to put my race bike back on the street for november.

I just am not sure how much room I am gonna have in the hauler and trailer, I might be squeezing 2 cars into the trailer and then I would have no room for the golf cart and ATV so they would have to go into the back of the hauler leaving no room for bikes.

the roll-on race that you were talking about, from 85-185, $1000 vs. $100...
if my stock 1000 is, um, unavailable, would you be willing to run the zx-10?

In the quarter mile or a roll-on? I'm not going to race any ZX-10 in standing 1/4 mile in my car. A ZX-10 with an average rider can run 10.50's all day, put a good rider on it and it's in the high 9's. I have beat a few 600's in a few stoplight to stoplight drag races with the Black Series, but they guys riding them were clowns that evidentally don't know how to slip a clutch, they popped em up so bad, then they have to completely let off, by then it's over for them. If you want to race 1/4 mile, bike vs bike I could make something happen. If you want to spot me like 4 cars and the bust I could be persuaded into wagering some cash on a car vs bike race.

BTW, why even bother putting it back to street legal, we'll just trailer it out to where we are gonna race and do our thing. Don't even tell me you have never riden your race bikes on the road I know how it is 2:00am the night before leaving for a race weekend, and you just re-jetted the carbs (back in my days of racing we had to do that, no FI) or put in a new clutch and you have to test ride it. We are going to be breaking the law so badly that the least of your worries should be a no headlight ticket, besides if the cops do show up you know they are gonna get the car and the bike is gonna get away.

ok, 120-185. that is fine with me.
so your clk63bs against my stock 1000, from a 120mph roll, to 185mph, you putting up $1000 against my $100...
correct?

If the bike is stock you've got a race....FYI, I'm gonna spend your $100.00 on a few lap dances. We are going to be using GPS to gauge the top speed otherwise this will be impossible to prove out.

hey jim, in response to your post over at absolutelydriven.com, you do realize that once a user is banned, they cannot log back in to delete their posts, right? rob had nothing to do with the posts getting deleted, that was done by a mod or an admin on this site.

I think Ima rent a SL 63 and attain the fastest stock 63 pass in the USA. Since my car is too expensive to ship. Any East Coast members wanna loan me an SL 63 , LOL

Don't be a pvssy Josh! Break out the Visa card and charge it, if you don't attend with your own car you are going to be kicking yourself in the butt all weekend as well as all winter long. Start man-whoring yourself to lonely Beverly Hills Housewives or something LOL!

Custom long tubes on a W208? Pretty cool. Is the front cylinder going to run behind the motor mount? Kinda looks that way in the pic.
