Adding remote start...
I spoke to my installer today and I always wanted the ability to remote start my car...He said he believes that there is a module capable of doing this incorporating the existing OEM key. I said heck ya...go for it...I let you know the progress and if works well.
As far as the rest of the car...more pics Wednesday...A lot of the wiring is completed and the interior pieces are starting to get put back together.
We got a supposed tropical storm/hurricane coming through Wednesday @ 2am...so I've got to wait for that to pass before I can get out to his shop.

You are gonna love the Focal speakers, are they the 165K2P? Mine are in the factory openings and sound really good. With your custom enclosures, they will be phenominal. Keep the pics coming, can't wait to see the finished job. What other amp(s) are you using?
CCW makes some fine wheels don't they?

Very Impressive
I'm not ashamed to admit my own ignorance - I really don't know poo about aftermarket sound systems. But I really wanted to chime in to say how impressed I am with the quality of work you are doing with your ride. All the CF trim is just awesome. And it looks like we have almost identical AMG style twin spoke rims finished in black, although I see you have a diffferent sent of rims going on soon. I have been absent form this board for a LONG time and it is good to be back on, seeing what everyone is doing. My 55 is doing well and I am finally back in the right frame of mind to just enjoy it. I can't wait to see pics of the finished CF trim!!!

Just some pics...getting there...
Well looks like I'm going ahead with the upholstery change. I decided to go low key and just go with Black Alcantara on the A, B, C pillars, the headliner, door leather inserts, center seat inserts, and bottom part of door panel (the part that looks like it was covered with lame speaker grill cloth).
The upholsterer is going to try to do some double stitching to match the stock stitching on the leather seats on the headliner and the seat inserts.
PIC of Current Door (w/ upgraded piano black wood trim)
Rear Trunk (w/ rear deck subwoofer enclosure)
Those items in the trunk - flares, fire extinguisher, Mobil Oil, high intensity LED flashlight, Fix a Flat cannister, First Aid Kit are going to be part of the a trunk floor ( instead of spare tire)...It's going to be setup in a fitted floor panel.
Part of the Wiring
The trunk MB emblem in carbon fiber water transfer
The Front Passenger speaker location with Focal 6.5" speaker
Center Channel Location
Replacing the puny 3.5" stock speaker with a 5" center channel speaker
Reworked A pillar with new integrated tweeter pod

The only real carbon fiber is the front lip spoiler, rear Vorsteiner diffuser and the side view mirror covers.

I just got a call from my installer and he informed me that the OEM leather next to the current perforated inserts would need to be replaced because of stitching issues. So we decided to go with ultra black faux leather...God this stuff is so damn soft and supple (and more durable than our regular OEM leather). The headrests would need to be redone in ultra leather, too.
Man this project is out of control...F it...life is too short.

nice very nice. i went with two sets of the Focal kp2, two JL10w6's, arc audio eq in the glove box, 2 arc audio 300.2 and a arc audio 1000.1 for the 2 subs. all i can say is that it's the most amazing system i have ever had in a car. hope you ejoy yours as much as i do mine. i still wish i had replaced my stock command as i have a pioneer z3 in another car and it is far better than the MB command
