Nexan, Falken, Nankang, Marangoni, Vredestein Tires?
For the most part, these are the cheapest tires on ebay right now probably for a good reason. They suck?!?!?!
My question is, has anyone tried any of these brands with descent results? Road noise, handling, wet, dry, high speed, tread life, etc... Were any of these tires descent enough that you could bear them? Not the best but you didn't feel guilty beating the crap out of them since you could buy 2-3 sets for the same price of one set of PS2's.
What tire is the happy medium between price and performance? I read everyone likes PS2 & P Zero, mixed comments on Conti Sport Contact, etc...
I have Toyo Proxy's right now and need to replace tires. Looking for a happy medium were I don't feel guilty wearing out my tires quicker. I drive about 500 miles per month but like to accelerate hard and hang turns.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I have used Falken's on my S4 and currently on my 202. Great in wet/dry - last about 12-15K miles, but for the price I have been very happy.
i put the Goodyear GSD3's on my E and am happy with them thus far for the price.

I have heard many great things about the Vredsteins. My brother is running them on his 300c-SRT with 520hp and they have great traction in wet/dry weather. They aren't noisy and handle very well. I wish they made them in the sizes I want. Great tire for an unbelievable price, IMO.

I agree with you, a burnout or hard stop on $1400 tires is a killjoy. Give me two sets @ $1200. Don't ya just love the name KUM-HO

I had Falken 452's on my 745i. I didn't like them at all. They wore out very quickly (and the 745i is no e55) and I didn't like the feel they provided either. I guess I am the only one, however. There are a couple of guys in this thread that like them and they were recommended to me. I just didn't like them.

I've tried several times to use the less expensive Asian tires with mostly poor results. I guess if you're ok with a slightly inferior tire they are adequate. But, why would you comprise the qualities you bought your $90,000 car for to save a few bucks on tires?
I cringe every time I buy a new set of PS2's. But, the ride quality, traction and no noise of these tires makes them the right tire for the car. IMO, tires are the MOST IMPORTANT component of the suspension system and I want the best for my car.
Would you put regular grade gas in your 55 even though it will run on it?

They give no dry traction off the line. I was constantly lighting up the inside tire when turning even at fairly a modest throttle.

I have Toyo T1R's now and have run them in the past along with Nitto 555's, you will love them. I do not see rain as I am in socal so they are an excellent hot dry condition tire.

I picked up the car today. The tires seem very good. Dry traction is nice, noise is at a minimum. However the alignment shop did a poor job. Wheel is off center and the car pulls to the right . Car is going back in Saturday. I will not accept a bad alignment.

They're great tires -- so far. A lot of the SRT8 guys are running them and I haven't heard a single bad thing about them. The traction is pretty decent, but the wet-weather handling is amazing. They're supposed to get pretty good treadwear, and they look good too. I'm running 275/40/20 all the way around. Hope this is helpful.

If anyone is interested in getting the Vredesteins, I can tell you that I paid $670 shipped from a place called Fairmont Tires, in Cali. Ask for Rich Arrias, his prices on all tires is awesome. I am in no way affiliated with them, but had a great transaction and am just trying to help.
