So, I went to the gym this evening to get a quick burn JK!! I got back to my car and it would not turn over. I had the furl pump recall a few months back. I am guessing that has to do with it. The car wants to start it just seems like it has no fuel going to it. Anyway, 2 hours in the parking lot and my Beast is on its way to MBSD...

This sucks becasue I was planninmg on taking the car to the SD Euro Car meet on Sunday. Maybe I will get lucky and they can have the car fixed on Saturday...

Happened to me a month ago. The key wouldn't turn in the ignition. Ended up being a problem with the crank I think. Good luck.

nope.

I had the fuel pump replaced with the recall but I guess the new one is not good enough.

Something similar happened to me after I had the fuel leak in the back seat and had the fuel pump replaced. I had the car for 2 days and then I lost power at a stop light. The key would turn but nothing...floored the pedal and still nothing. It sounded like it would turn over but it felt like no fuel was getting to where it should...

It ended up to be some fuel pump relay that also needed to be replaced along with the fuel pump...might be your problem, too.

Good luck.

so my tech told me that the car started right up at the dealership. Has anyone experienced this before?

probably some loose wires on the fuel pump, they should at least take a second look at the wiring for something loose or pinched.

+1...if it was loose wires then they should have done a good job the first time. A car just doesn't start and you are left with no explanation...

Could also be the brush wiring in the pump. I remember we used to kick the pumps when they went bad and they would come back to life for a short bit.

I HATE "COULD NOT DUPLICATES"!!!!!

So, what do they want to do? I say document it and take it. If it happens again, you have all the more reason for a lemon.

I asked them to look at all the wiring so that they me be able to find the issue. My SA is going to get back to me today regarding what they found. I will let you guys know what they say.
