Wow, that car is apparently from the town I live in... never seen it on the road though.
Today was a very strange day. Walking around downtown Chicago I saw a CLK320 with a c230 Kompressor badge in addition to the factory CLK320 badging, and a BMW 645i with MB V12 badges on the side fenders. I mean it's one thing to see a 3 series badged as an M3, but these badge jobs were really strange. MB V12 badges on a 645? Kompressor badge on a stock CLK320?

Not sure what you meant by this statement.
The cars are horrible, all of them. The resale value, hell, the selling point is trashed on these cars.
No idea why he would trash such class cars, but I guess some nutjob will bid on and buy them.

I would bet my life that they bough it from Mercedes of Naperville. A couple years ago they started selling two tone S's and CLS's with "The Maybach Package" a $10,000-$20,000 dealer add on that included two tone paint and custom chrome wheels.
I hate to say it but a couple of the CLS's they did up actually looked nice. They had a burgandy and beige(gold) that actually looked nice and I would normally hate those two colors. Don't get me wrong, I would never buy one, but they were done well, I think they all ended up in the hands of local pro athletes.
