As I stated earlier I think the weather had the most to do with it. The tires were hurting me. I could not launch any higher RPM than on my Corsas because the car would not hold at the line. I would brake torque it and it would just push the car over the line even with my foot mashed into the pedal as hard as I could. I tried pumping the brakes, nothing would help. I am going to experiment with some higher air pressure in the MT's on Saturday. I need to be able to get the RPM's up to keep the motor reving. There is a lot left on the table. I feel there is another 1/10th-2/10th to be had without the bottle just by improving the launch. They claim a 1/10th in your 60' equated to .250 at the other end so if I can get to a 1.700 that should be good for at least .150 at the other end, right?

I looked up the weather conditions at weather.com last night in Joliet and plugged it into a sea-level calculator. It comes out to 11.32 @123.14. The DA was 1324ft last night in those conditions.

honestly, I can't see what the tires have to do with stall rpms as long as you're within the converter's limits. the e55's get their best launches from idle so that's what I'm basing my opinion off of.

I already faxed it to TMC M5, he's had it since yesterday morning and was supposed to update the list.

I have the timeslip and can confirm everything Jim reported. I updated the list but I sent it to someone to post for me...the file is too big. He will update it shortly.

First

2nd. Was that video a textbook lesson in gearing Jim or did the stang have trouble? Seemed like it (stang) had gears to get it out of the hole, then fell on it's face last half of the track.

You suuuurrreee you didn't tap the button last half of the track??

+1 on the sound. Makes me want a 6.3.

The Mustang was quicker. He let off and hit the brakes. Probably didn't want to get kicked off the track. I do the same thing sometimes. Show em whose faster and then let off to avoid the boot

The Mustang missed a shift and shut down on that pass . My car is quicker. We lined up 3-4 times that night. On a run he made with me earlier that night he made his all time fastest pass of 11.709. I can run 11.7's in my sleep now with the slicks. Here is how that slip reads, you can verify with the track. Although he won this specific race ( I screwed up my launch) I beat him two other times with 11.50's, He was running consistant 11.8's all night. The run in the video he was slower than the below numbers. I do catch him on the big end.

car #996 (me)-------------------car#548 (mustang)

R/T - .283------------------------R/T - .466

60' - 1.897-----------------------60' - 1.705

330 - 5.053-----------------------330- 4.842

1/8 - 7.646-----------------------1/8 - 7.515

MPH - 95.68--------------------- MPH - 92.17

1000 - 9.864---------------------1000 - 9.782

1/4 - 11.732--------------------1/4 - 11.709

MPH - 121.77---------------------MPH - 117.20

MPH looks interesting.

I was just basing it on the video I saw. The mustang looked quicker out the hole and looked like was ahead before he misshifted or whatever it is he did. The brake lights came on. Guess I was wrong. Your car is shockingly fast for being NA

his split times definitely say no, he actually loses mph in the back half compared to my 55 which seems bass ackwards.

The bottle was not even in the car on that pass, there are at least 3 witnesses on this board that saw me re-installing the bottle after that pass. Tech made me disconnect the bottle because I did not have my nomax jacket and gloves. I only made one pass with the bottle and it was the last pass of the night and it was slow 11.70 because the car got out of the groove and a little sideways and I had to roll out and counter steer a little. Let's put it this way, I ran an 11.7 and was out of the gas for a second, it probably would have been a very low 11.2 pass. I still made more MPH on the 11.70 NOS pass than I did on the 11.48 pass.

i posted this elsewhere but her eit is again

NOS pass--------------------------Non-NOS Pass

1/4-----11.703---------------------1/4-----11.487

MPH----121.77---------------------MPH----121.40

.245 slower E/T + .300MPH faster trap speed = NOS

Not positive but didn't Daves'(ENDSMTG) car go faster then that with Wayne(ChicagoX) driving on DRs especially when they took out the stock C6 ZO6 at US41 in 2007? His car is a stage 2 E55
