Happy b-day, Jim. posted this already to another thread here. but on the subject of lambos...had a yellow lambo gallardo pull up fast behind me, then he went wot into the left lane by me a few days ago on fwy. almost seemed like he came close to clipping my rear. i was just driving and minding my own biz, as usual. slowly crept up next to him as fwy traffic slowed to near standstill. finally, i came up on his left and rolled down my window, as he did the same. i asked him if he was really trying to pull on my car, then asked if he wanted to find out how slow his car was. he then put his arm on his window and buried his forehead in his hand. anyway, somewhat of a goof and fairly unsafe driver, as well. unfort., the 55 is badged near the v8k. concede a fairly childish retort on my part, but was fairly unhappy with the near miss fly-by he barely engineered. beautiful sounding car though.

Man, I hope that was a good time! A guy that works for me just rented a Murcielago a few weeks ago. I got to drive it for about 15 miles, what a frickin' blast. The accleration is insane, but the AWD is what really blows your mind...

Well, I am back from the fun. Got one more day on it, but I am just about out of mileage and they rape you for overages. Maybe put another 100miles on it today just for some last minute fun.
When you "handling" guys talk about how horrible our cars handle, it never sunk in until yesterday. We took the car up to Park City which is about 15 miles uphill of longer sweeping corners on I80. WOW WOW WOW!!!
Car just sucks the corners and it was an experience I will never forget. Car was so confident and true tracking corners at 90-100. What is really cool is most people just hammer through that part for fun we were just kinda keeping up with traffic.....perhaps a tick faster.
I am still humming the V10 shifting sound this AM. They have the aftermarket exhaust on it and it's nice and loud.
Just wild the cheers and thumbs up you get in a Lambo. Sure don't get that in the beast. People taking pics and shooting cell phone vids. Heh, in LA probably no biggee, but up here kinda rare to see them.
Gotta be honest though. I really missed my beast's BRUTAL acceleration from near all parts of the power band. Gallard kinda pokey on the bottom until she got up in revs, then the party began. I am so used to drag racing torque that it was a little weird to not be able to punch it out of the hole and have the car erupt in violence. Gallardo had to get moving before it got angry.
Was gonna have the wife so a side by side today but honestly guys, it would be no contest except for way up top like a 70mph roll up or something. Beast would destroy it.....heh heh, and I can HONESTLY say this time, til we hit the twisties.
