Jangy, I need to know if this is really going to go down. Is your car ready to go or is it in the shop having additional mods done? I need to have my car loaded up in the hauler and have a driver(s) ready to pull out of my place early Wednesday morning in order to ensure I get the car out there by Friday afternoon.
Jim: can you make it next weekend? Or let me know what is another weekend that you can make it.

things may change once mhp releases their tcu tune but at the moment there are only a limited few (current) e55's capable of getting into the 1.6's. you better understand that what you think you/your car can do and what can actually be done are entirely different things.

I don't think we should use the "red light" feature on the tree as they would in a NHRA event. $10k is a lot of money to lose in 11 seconds, should either one of us leave 1/100th of a second early, even my hard nosed azz would feel guilty taking the money from Jangy if he left a split second early. I wnat to know who is the better car/driver combo. If he wants to use it I will use it, but I think it is in both of our best interest to not have to worry about red lighting. I agree we should be side by side on the same tree, so we both run in the exact same conditions, but we should base it on the E/T printed on the bottom of the slip.

HOLD IT!! It is in the shop and WON'T be ready by Friday. I spoke with Vadim about a half hour ago and he just didn't feel comfortable trying to rush the cooling and final ecu dyno tune.

I don't want to be the one that sounds like I'm making excuses but if we can't do it this weekend I am tied up for the follow 3 plus weeks with business and personal stuff. I've got weddings, a huge presentation to my largest client, a business trip to the Dallas division of my company and a trip to Cabo. At that point I would say we should just do it at MIR, are you attending the MIR event? Let me know.

Great, more time for me to put all the goodies on my car. As chance would have it I just arrived home to find a couple Fed Ex boxes on my front porch tonight. Time is definetly on my side. If we can push this back to the MIR event there's a good chance I'll have my cams and heads on the car and Jangys only hope of beating me will be if I grenade the motor or rear-end. Head + Cams + TCU Tune + Updated ECU Tune + Current Mods = 575 plus WHP on my car...VRP better have your motor cracked open and shoehorning coffee cans into your cylinders if you want to play with those kinds of figures.

I dunno about MIR. If you can't make it back out before then, I will try my best to go. But, won't you have more mods by then? I was kind of thinking it was gonna be a good race as is, so not really big on you getting stronger but too bad. I think it would be cool to have the west coast boys meet up with the midwest / eastern guys. There is obviously lots of animosity so we may as well have bragging wars. we whine that you have the best tracks, and therefore the best slips and I guess the easterners think we are nuts. I dunno.
Please try to make it to MIR, money race or not, I'm eager to race you and see what I've got for you.

You guys should take it down to $5k and donate the rest to some worthy cause, maybe to the charity of the other guy's choice. This is just a drag race, and even if one guy wins, it's not like he's not gonna be a lot faster in 6 months. We've got S600s running 10.30s for christ's sake.
