Sounds like the dyno facility is even bigger than Andy!

I am sure EVERYONE will be SPEECHLESS when they FINALLY see the dyno file that was done CORRECTLY.

It is sooooooooooooooo hard to keep a secret Andy!

Would anyone like to take a guess where it was dyno'ed?

HINT: #2
Sounds like the dyno could be at Roush? I believe they have a couple Bosch dynos and their engine shop is in Michigan.

Sounds like some very impressive numbers but I have to agree with some of the OP, I don't care who the shop is that did the dyno testing, it should not take more than a week to post up a dyno sheet. Whenever I get my vehicles tested I leave the shop with charts in hand or on a CD rom.

What does MHP currently offer for 55's? I have a Renntech ecu tune but it sounds like MHP is getting more than Renntech

A pretty serious rub and tug?

How much is that Mustang dyno worth? You know, to compare to that $300K Bosch unit.

Man, the natives are restless. MIR can't get here any quicker.

We have both a stock E55 tester and a Stage IV E55 tester sending in their ECUs/TCUs this week. We offered both a "if you don't **** your pants" $ back guarantee on our tuning. They will both post dyno and track results, pre and post tune.

Also, for anyone with a competitors tune, we will be having a second dyno tuning day after MIR especially for you. If we don't make you significantly more power than your present tune, you don't have to pay. Renntech, Kleeman, Brabus, PC whoever, it doesn't matter.

Run of the mill Mustang Dyno's are around $50k. You can load up an AWD DJ with electronic extras to $100k, but it's still no Bosch.

Lesson learned. I will never post #s again without a graph in hand. If it was me on the dyno the sheets would've been up instantly--I wouldn't have left without watching them email the results to me. Unfortunately in this case, that wasn't an option.

I'm glad that you have all the money in the world to burn on the crappy "tuning" you are getting elsewhere that leads you to believe the costs of modding include "blown motors" and "voided warranties". I personally am all done with those that offer nothing and know full well that the first dealer that gets a look at the car will "status 8" the vehicle. That might be OK for those that are already out of warranty, but there are a lot of board members who are not. Costs and warranty aside, I'm beginning to think that if you decide to mod, it might make more sense in the long run to stick with those that either warrant their work, or have enough of a relationship with one or more MB dealers to preserve the factory warranty. There's no reason this can't happen. You don't void the factory warranty on a brand new Tahoe with an ECU tune (ask me how I know). If Andy and MHP can negotiate something that makes dealers comfortable enough to offer the tuning, that speaks volumes. It's the dealers who decide what constitutes flagging a car with a "status 8". It's after that event that MBUSA gets involved to decide any and all future warranty claims on a car so flagged. I'm patiently waiting to see dyno's as well. If MHP isn't the "real deal", we'll know soon enough, relax.
I'm sorry but to put it as politely as possible, I don't think you have a clue about what you are talking about. I had a dealer installed Renntech ecu tune and exhaust and pulley on my CLS55, the motor blew with under 10,000 miles. THere was clearly a defective piston in the car that would have failed even under a bone stock tune, it was just my bad luck. Do you want to take a guess at who covered the repairs? Not Mercedes, not Renntech, it was me that had to pay to have my engine rebuilt from the bottom up. My car was classified Status 8 and I was out $$,$$$. For you to even hint at the idea that Renntech stands behind their product in this manner is just plain ol' silly. If it were as easy as you are claiming don't you think we would all be doing it?

Are you able to offer the TCU tuning on the 55 as well? How Xtreme are you planning on going with the 55 tune? I have a heavily modded and rebuilt 55motor but I am just worried about the trans being the weak link. The trans was never rebuilt, remains stock and is handling the current power well, on street tires anyways.

Yes, we offer complete driveline tuning for any MB/AMG, Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche, Bimmer, VW, Mini, Audi, Bentley, Aston, etc.
We get the ECU and TCU to work together to produce more power, more safely than could be done previously. Our results with both stock and modded E55s will speak for themselves, we can't wait to get their respective owners feedback. Our custom tuning (every tune is a custom tune) allows for owners to select their own shift points, shift firmness, tq management reduction, etc.
If you have any other specific questions please don't hesitate to call (614) 940 9523 or email andrew@modernhorsepower.com.

Thanks
Andy

Ok...I can not stay silent anymore. I have been corresponding with Andy for about a week about his tune for the 65. Andy disclosed to me the stock 65's dyno numbers. I was shocked when he told me the stock 65 dynoed 630rwhp/700rwtq. I told him that the dyno would not viewed to be credible and urged him to go get another 65 dynoed ASAP and retract the claim of 690rwhp and to only claim a 60rwhp gain. He said he would post everything and let people draw their own conclusions. I went along with this and remained silent so as not to throw fire on an already incendiary topic. In the mean time people have been asking me questions about the MHP tune and whther I would jump at it. Yes, I told some people in private...for fear that they would go off and do something without all the facts. Yes, I told JayCL600 who I consider to be a very good friend and someone who is extreemely knoweldgeable about the V12TT platform. I would further add that Andy seems very knowledgable in many respects....but doesn't seem to have a full command of the V12TT platform. This in no way means that his product won't peform or that he won't stand by his product. I do not think Andy was being deceitful in any way. I really believe he has had a difficult time getting the dyno place to send him the files. I think Andy is a nice guy. However, he has gotten himself into a jam by not doing his due diligence on the baseline #'s before making claims that not only are over-inflated...but also putting down his competitors.

If Andy would like to call me a liar....or contradict the veracity of my statements I would then ask his permission to paste his PM's in a thread for the mbworld public to see. I believe without his permission, the republishing of his PM would be a violation of the TOU.

Now we have this 630whp pretune number as stated by Jaycl600.

So what did we miss?
I don't know, but that's why I asked Andy to clarify

Tom,
Let's be clear, I/we are in no kind of jam whatsoever, we are simply faced with yet another bull**** hoop to jump through--like we've done how many times to date? Find me a Renntech (they did allegedly make the most power with a 65 tune correct?) 65 to compare one of our 65s (with like mods) on the same dyno/track and there's no doubt we'll make more power.
I passed the numbers I was told over the phone on to you as I have nothing to hide from you or anyone else. Like I told you, and you reiterated above, I don't care what the doubters say, nor do I feel that we need to "immediately find another stock 65 and redyno on a DJ" to prove anything as you wanted.
What annoys me about your role in this is that it was never your place to state anything (it's our job to post that), but in order to feel important you felt the need overstep your bounds. I have absolutely nothing to hide and I stand behind everything I stated to you in my PMs to you--go ahead and post them. You're not a liar, but you like Roman are someone that we definitely won't be doing business with in the future.

Thanks
Andy

I completely disagree....I come on this forum to acquire and share information with fellow enthusiasts. I don't make any money off anyone here...and participate just as any other member. You haven't been around here very long to know the history of how a prolonged silence about certain performance companies allowed member after member to get burned. Everyone thought it was an isolated incident and their silence perpetuated problems. Today, it seems that it has gone to the other extreme...people are jumping all over aftermarket companies at the first sign of blood. I didn't want to have a part in that drama...however, I need to balance that concern with the fact that other members should have all the information available to them. If you told me in a PM.....why not tell everyone??? Why didn't you tell everyone? I gave you ample opportunity to do this the right way. I can not as a member of this community stay silent.

Your promise not to do business with me is somewhat laughable... expecially in light of the fact I NEVER criticized your product....your marketing/claims yes...the tunes...no. I really had such high hopes for you and your product, I guess that will be my loss and another vendor's gain.

Good luck,

Tom

I had a time-out for a couple weeks for bad behavior.

Thermalnators are installed on the car but I have not had a chance to drive the car with them installed. I've had a bad couple of weeks with my company and been very busy. The car is out of commision for a little while getting various things buttoned up. Wheels have been shipped to Dymag for replacement, Ecu is pulled out of the car and the seats are removed anxiously awaiting the new CF DTM seats. I did have the car at the strip about 1.5 weeks ago and she's flying...............Fassssssst!

If the weather holds out and I get things all put back together on the car I hope to make one more test & tune with it before MIR.

Are you joking? You gave me ample opportunity to do the right thing? Who the hell are you? The right way for me to post the numbers would've been for me to post them at the same time as the graph. That was my fault, I should've waited and I'll accept responsibility for that. Otherwise, the numbers (as I stated to you) are what they are. I/we have nothing to hide, and there is no deception going on anywhere.
Unfortunately IMO as shown by your posts you are here to create drama.
