just recently bought an w211 e55k and one thing is that I noticed is that when pulling into driveways or out of them , the whole interior cracks as if the body is flexing. is this a common problem?

I have never had a big car like this, mostly jetta, 190e, c230k, slk55.. so is this common for a big car to do this? it is a 2003 e55

I have 3 W211 E class cars and my friend has one too. 2 of mine with regular roofs do not do this, while my 2007 and my friends 2006 with the panoramic roof do the cracking that you mentioned. I would guess you have a pano roof?

My drive way has a transition that that makes the car lift a wheel. No Creaks, cracks or groans. It's a pretty stiff chassis

My 03 with pano roof is surprisingly quiet. Some report noises creaks and pops. I have owned many large vehicles that make noises going onto a driveway slowly. Large cars definitly flex more then smaller cars of similar build quality.

Never had any issues on my 06 with noises, cracks etc. pulling in/out of driveways.

This chassis is solid.

Do you have any other symptoms along with this? Any handling concerns? Wobbly suspension? Does it ever happen while driving, freeway, stop and go..?

My driveway is steep. Pulling in there is a lip at an angle to the road such that one tire goes up about an inch before the other on both the front and back tires. I have pano and yes it creaks a small bit when I enter and exit the driveway.

My 03 e55 pops a bit up in the pano roof if I angle it in my driveway but if I pull straight in and out no pop. Nothing major, I rarely hear it pop or creak once I am driving around. The beauty of the pano is an acceptable trade off.

When I picked up my car in Florida I swear it made no noise, now in Jersey it pops and creeks. 05 with pano. My driveway has a big transition. Will scrape pulling straight in for example

Pano here. I hear a pop when turning into a raised driveway at angle. Nothing major but noticeable
