X Pipe for 63 engines
I know some guys on the boards have a bought a X pipe on ebay and said it is great for the money.
My question is what size inlet and outlet do we use. A guy has a 3 inch inlet and outlet on ebay. IS this the correct size for our pipes on a 63.
Also, I have already removed my resonator. Do I add the x pipe in addition to the resonator delete or would that hinder the performance if I run both,

thanks guys

Did you remove a set of cats on your system, did you noitce any difference going to the 3 inch piping
any sound clips, really intersted in what it sounds like

on our cars as I found the pipes are 2.75" so finding something in the size can be challenging. I swapped out 75% of my exhaust to a 3" system to avoid this issue. You might be able to find someone to slightly stretch your pipes to fit the 3" connection for the lessor expensive x-pipe and TIG weld it together. It should be fine that way. If you find an Xpipe in the 2.75" size you will pay through the nose for it IMObservation

In my opinion I beleive going with the 3" is a better choice. If your exhaust is currently 2.75" and you got a 2.5" setup you are in theory choking your exhaust and actually restricting your exhauss ability to breath. Thats why I opted to go larger and yes i did delete my secondary cats at you can see in the gallery pics I posted before.
Heres a sound clip of what it sounds like...

I also did see some power gains. Here is my Dyno Sheet.
The low number is my car stock with JUST the Renntech ECU tune and no charcoal filters vs. higher number is Renntech ECU tune and VRP CF boxes with highflow filters, and exhaust work 3" pipes, x-pipe and no secondary cats.

If I KEEP the primary cats and replace the Y-Pipe with X-pipe and do 3" all the way back with secondary cat DELETE will I get a check engine light?
