Dyno'd my stock E55 - Wow, you won't believe this.
That would calculate at
600hp. Bet you have a strong 55, but 600 bone stock. Ummmmmmmm.
at 18% loss it's
594
and 17% loss it's
586

Here is a shot of my engine bay:

Before the dyno, here is exactly what I had/did:
Temp was misty and 60 degrees.
-1/4 gallon of Chevron 91 with 10% ethanol. (i know, I didn't realize it until I went back to the same station to fill up later.)
-Fresh Oil/filter change 0W40 1 week ago.
-Cut out the "flaps" on the intake. See pic below:

And did an ECU/Tranny Reset right before the dyno. That's it. Everybody else's numbers were right on.
I guess the track will validate these numbers. I'm going on the 18th of Oct., so sit tight. Unless some else in the Seattle area wants to let me borrow their G-tech or pay for another dyno run?

So at 17% drivetrain loss that should equal 514 Crank HP
You have a gem or there are some hidden mods.
Great pulls!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
lol, I loved your Audi.
Anyway, here is everybody....the Camaro towards the end was loud as hell just idling and had 100 Shot of NOS.
I would want to be certain of the numbers myself and wouldnt trust anything less than a dynojet. **** I hit 410WHP and made an epic video of the run lol.
I know the numbers are huge, so I won't put them in my sig just yet. But in two weeks, I'll hit the track and see if I can validate those numbers.

One thing is for sure, you got one of the stronger ones (even though she not may be putting out 600hp crank) and THAT is a very good thing.
Compression numbers in the 55 engines vary so much in these friggin things (meaning compression # of each piston due to ring setup). Mine is on the low scale but never uses a drop of oil. Higginsbeach tested near the top of the scale. Bet yours is near there too.
You ever get er to the track, let us know.

Anyway that must of been cool to have a dyno day with all those "Tuner" fanboys and cars and totally blow them all away by 200HP
A normal 55k car makes 380-390rwhp on a Dyno Dynamics. 370 on the low end, 400 on the high end. I'm not sure what's going on there, but I can assure you, you aren't making 486rwhp. That would equate to ~623bhp

Even the Camaro on Nos, did not match the Monster

I totally understand the skepticism though. At least I impressed all the Northwest Quattro guys though. 1/2 of the thread on the dyno day on their site is praising E55's! Questions:
1: Besides the 1:1 gear ratio, why is it recommended to do the pulls in 4th when our (non chipped) governors kick in and do not let us reach peak HP?
2: What is the difference of getting a pull in 3rd?
3: I don't have any iPhone, so is the Dynolicious app free to download? I'll have a friend who can do it.
4: Anyone willing to pay for another dyno on a dynojet? If the numbers are more than 10% off, you'll get your money back. If they are the same, then...well, you know.
