Is anyone from the boards going to be at SEMA this year?

We should plan a small MB get-together, if so.

 

I always wanted to fly to Vegas for it, but SEMA site always shows:"THE SEMA SHOW IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC"

I guess they are trying to limit people.

 

I was just about to post the same thing.

 

If you could get in, would you go?

I will be out in vegas thursday to sat of sema week. What days is everyone going?

 

SEMA is open to the public they don't post this for everyone to see. Call them to sign up. They used to be closed to only auto related companies, but this changed a few years ago. Money talks$$$ Also most shops in your local area can get you in if you ask them.

Tues-Thurs for me. Perhaps a Thursday meet for soda water with a twist of lime?

I was wondering if you were the Fikse. Quite a few years ago I had some business dealings with the founder's son up here in the Seattle area.

 

Wayne, you are not shipping your car to Sema to be put on display in the show are you? If so make sure you have your transportation firmed up with a rock solid payment clause (like if it's not home on time it's free), it could take you 2 plus weeks to get your car back to Chicago or MIR after that show. I would hate to see you miss the MIR meet. The Sema show is a logistical nightmare. I sent my car to Evosport last year around the time of Sema and it took nearly 2 weeks for my car to go from Chicago to Huntington Beach because of the Sema show. For two weeks I had no clue where my car was, every day they told me it would be there tomorrow, after a week of those excuses I began to worry. I think the guys at Evosport thought I was yanking their chain about sending my car to them. Every auto transport company in the country is booked solid for that show for a month solid and once your car is on a trailer it is out of your hands and you will get it when you get it.

Consider yourselves warned.

I will be there. There are a few of us who meet up the last day of SEMA for a dinner at the Hard Rock.

 

I will be out there the entire week, drinks on Thurs sounds good.

 

Sorry about my negative sale post guys. I just got back from Vegas Magic as I am a streetwear consultant and the show was down 30%.
There are bright spots, so stick to them!
