Quote: After launching with the MTs there's no way in hell I'm going back to the Nittos, except as pure street tires.
We have a few track rentals (local guys) coming up in the next few weeks. Although the track sucks (Trails) I should be able to do some back to back comparos.
Remember too that v2 ECU tuning makes more power than v1 (added timing, leaner A/F) and the shifts are quicker/firmer as well (most notably in the 3-4). Hell, I could always swap back to the stock Pirelli's and spin my way to a 120+.
Damn you guys just have to drive my car. Are you coming to MIR?
We are part of an elite alliance. TEAM AMG, currently we are working on some things to over throw the king of the 63's.....If thecar is ready we will be there

I believe you are part of this, jr is not gonna hold this much longer.

This is the kind of competition I LOVE. FWIW, I think you're going to have your hands full...Then again, what do I know.

Team MHP v Team AMG. Bring the funk!

Andy:

Nice runs!! That C63 is running strong...now I won't feel so bad if I pick on it at MIR.

Pull up the covers.....I think this puts this issue to bed.

TCU/ECU tune makes this stock C63 as fast as stg3 E55(pulley/tune/headers). MIR will just further reinforce this point I think. Obviously we need a greater sample size and durability time....but so far---mission accomplished.

umm...wrong.

many of us speculated over a year ago the c63 was going to be the fastes 63 platform (because of weight) with a simple tune and that hasn't even been proven yet...but it's getting close.

Absolutely not. Check out dragtimes....stage 1 E55 (pulley/tune only) run 11.6's with drag radials. If they don't something is up.

Andy great job buddy....very impressive results.

Look at my sig, or think Enzom! So I would say it makes it a little faster (trap speed) than a stock E55 and I know every E55 does not run like Enzoms or Housclass and others but do your research as others above have pointed out before you make a comment like that.

Sorry Andy about the HiJack. Do you have any E55's in the shop that want the ECU/TCU tune?

NP bro. Yes, we have results otw (as in, in the mail) and at least one coming to MIR.

Absolutely no disrespect to Enzom/Lorenzo his car is unquestionably quick/fast. I just can't wait to run my car at MIR. As we'll see on 11/15, Norwalk in October is not the same as a sea level track in November.
As of last night we've decided to forgo doing headers/exhaust/CAIs until after MIR just to show what our tuning alone can do in a favorable environment.

Thanks

I'm NOT nut riding or trying to take credit away from either Enzom/Lorenzo but what DA was present when these record runs were recorded in stock 55's , wasn't it somewhat negative DA ie -1500 or more

I'm just confused as to the constant reference to 117-118 traps for a STOCK 55, when it's only been done by a few 55's but everytime somebody asks what's the highest trap speed a stock 55 can do, people here always seem to quote 118, when in reality the conditions ie DA were FAR from average.

Isn't this true? & the average STOCK 55 trapping more like 113-116 mph

Good point Sean, though I can't answer those questions I'm sure someone on here can.
Rob/Gixer with the quickest/fastest stock E63 emailed me congrats few weeks back after v1 testing. Nice guy, wish he was still around. Anyway, I believe his best came at -1500'DA (maybe lower?).

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the DA was not that much into the negatives during Enzom's record-breaking run (11.77). I'd guess that it was maybe half of that.

Jacks 55 torched the other stock 55's at this event by 2-4 mph all day. I trapped 115.7 which was higher than all the OTHER stock 55's BUT my car had an ECU tune so not really fair.

stock 55's range from 108-113 same for 63's .. Very few cars hit 114+ unless the DA is below 1000 ft.

Jack's 55 is the fastest stock 55 West of the Mason/Dixon

To be fair, I was also torched by a stock 55, a tragic loss, but hey stuff happens. Traction SUCKED which actually aided trap speeds
