Okay, I'll be the first to call BS................................................ ................................(Brilliant Skills).
Congrats friend, my hat is off to you. It is really hard to argue that the 55 does not rule the 1/4 mile. Tune + Pulley = 11.4et =
BTW- Wayne........... nice work brother!!!

Here is the "hot lap" pass of 11.60 referenced above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7SbHcg_rGY
For whatever reason, the quality of these videos seems poor. I'm thinking it may be the upload to youtube, because the originals on my hard drive are much cleaner. Who knows. But, you get the idea. Pretty incredible that these cars can pull these times when they are "on fire".
Also, it is important to note that the 11.41 I ran was the FIRST time the car was ever run "stone cold" (it sat for 3 hours with ice in the shade and then I was first in line on the next pass, so the temp guage wasn't even reading one bar!). In fact, after the run, the car was barely showing normal temps.

But, you are on the right track. First, you need the right tune on your car (preferably one that gives you a boatload of torque - (ie) I saw 100 lb/ft of torque gains over stock with LET's custom tune). And, then IT'S ALL IN THE LAUNCH!! If your car hooks with ESP off, you're there.
Good luck!

On this particular run, he jumped off the line (notice the "foul" on the slip). I reeled him in by the 60' and it was history from there. Beat him by about 8-10 car lengths at the end. He ran a mid 12 on that run at about 111 or so. Here is the full slip with both our times.

Just get that baby to hook and your all set for the all motor E55 record!
Oh yah, and no more making fun of the "ice" and the "cooling down" period. It is now proven and tested (mine sat for 3 hours with ice on it before that epic pass). Just remember that extra mph or 2 can make ALL the difference. GOOD LUCK next Wed!!
EDIT: Just remember, after the car sits for all that time, you have to hit it right on the first pass, or your back in the "heat zone". No pressure - lol.

I must take time to thank a few VERY special people/entities who made this possible.
First, I want to thank LET and ChicagoX for making my car what it is. Their dedication to their craft is as good as it gets. And, quite frankly, to all the potential naysayers, the proof of LET's product(s) and service(s) is on the track (or in my case 5 tracks ) where it should be.
Second, I want to thank forum member AMGONER for making the trip to ESTA to focus entirely on my efforts at breaking the record for a Stage 1 E55 (which was 11.666 prior to this past weekend). His videography and commentary were spot on. And, his support after my first pass (which was my first EVER 12 second pass in this car since it has been modded - I completely BOTCHED the launch and caused my car to go into "super granny" mode) was unwaivering. You are a true friend.
Finally, I want to thank all the members who have supported my efforts at achieving my goals. I have met many of you in person over the short time I have been posting on the forums and during my trips around the country trying to find the "best track" or "best conditions" for my car. Little did I know I would break the record in my own backyard (the track is about 10 miles from my vacation house).
Time to update the "all time" list. Let the chase begin...

LOL - that is exactly what I was thinking as I was writing it. I just figured this was a big enough victory to justify the thanks. If I was a stage 4 or 5, and expected to have pulled off a time like this, the "speech" would have been curtailed.
