Thanks Sean. What gear was it in and was it corrected? Somehow I don't really buy into a 60rwhp variance from a stock motor. I know that the DJ I use reads dead on to others in the area and based on the results put out by cars that test on it. Did Juicee and Trezz test on the same DJ?

Found the dyno you were referring to as well as a bunch of others thanks to Mo:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=dyno+63

Definitely doesn't look like a DJ graph, was done in 4th gear (you can tell by the mph on the X-axis), and I see no CF.

Highest RWHP: MHP 435
Highest RWTQ: MHP - 401
Best RHWP Gain: MHP- 63
Best RWTQ Gain: MHP - 29
Best RWHP Gain/$: Kleeman - $29.90/hp (46 rwhp gain)

(Note: all tuner results are rounded down and do not include corrections for gear, fuel, or minor mods). Also keep in mind that a 63 will dyno 6-8rwhp higher in 4th gear (what most test in) than 5th, and 10rwtq lower in 4th than in 5th. 5th is 1:1, aka industry standard.

Juicee's car was not one of the strong 63s initially. In stock trim, it dynoed at 401 to 402 rwhp. It was only after the weight reduction, VRP custom tuning, and a lot of Juicee's aggressive driving style that the car was able to reach 440 rwhp on a dyno jet.
Trez's 63 was dynoed at Evosport, and produced 428 rwhp 100% stock and then later reached 440 rwhp after removing charcoal filters, and is still to this day the highest dynoing 63 yet.
Juicee's initial dyno was done on the same dyno as Trez63's dyno (Evosport). There are other 63 models that are above 410 rwhp on a dynojet but all were in 4th gear: please check item number 4, 5, 6, and 8 in my first post of this thread:

I guess that means Juice was making 395ish in 5th gear stock.

Trez'z car sounds like a real freak. We'll soon find out how much less restricive the stock air inlets and exhausts are on the Es than on Cs; we're tuning a E63 at our Nov. first dyno tuning day.

The 030 cars are heavier, especcially rotational weight, LSD, bigger brakes, suspension componets..

My car was destroyed daily by other 63's until I switched wheels.

I did run the white beast cls driven bt Tan, the outcome was not supportive of the disparity in dyno #s.

That also means we can lean it out up top a bit more and squeeze out a few more safe horses.

Makes sense...we found that the tailpipe was consistently .5 leaner than a direct wideband in the downstream...congrats again on the numbers and track success...look forward to following your progress

I was hoping you would comment, as usual thanks for the factual info!

No problem. I think a lot of people never buy just because they're confused about the choices. Hopefully getting everything into one post will help people make up their minds.

All of this talk about stock 63 numbers makes me want to get mine dyno'd. There is a dynojet nearby and I'm going to try and make it out there by next weekend. I want to get a good baseline before I go ahead with an ECU tune and then dyno afterwards. The car should be in 5th gear right?

Yes, unless you have a speed limiter, then you'll have to dyno in 4th. Just remember it'll read 6-8rwhp higher and ~10rwtq lower in 4th vs. 5th. Use SAE correction and smoothing set at 5 to eliminate artificial spikes in the graph.

Good luck!

As we all know the quickest/fastest cars make the most avg HP and TQ, not just highest peak power. Dyno Jet SAE correction, fifth gear, smoothing set at 5, straight 93 octane fresh off the street and onto the dyno.
