Help make my wheel decision easier!
http://www.wheelpros.com/
Cut to the chase. I get to pick any wheel for my Iridium Silver 2005 E55 from Wheel Pros, and only from them since this is a business barter I did with a dealer who reps them locally. Right now I am leaning heavily toward the Asanti AF130's. Although its chrome and I don't particular like chrome on silver cars because of the contrast, i think it looks hot! I also heard that the chrome now days suck and to stay far away from them to take super good care of them. Is Asanti a good brand or over rated? I know they're popular.
What's your opinion? What would you choose? Do you think Chrome wheels on a silver car looks good?
Thanks in advance.

Well, wheels is a pretty personal choice - what's awesome to one is a disaster to another. I'm guessing your a bit younger than me I looked at the page briefly and left almost immediately LOL.
Asanti may be popular but in my opinion they scream BLING. I believe they bought Kinesis, which was a very good, light weight forged wheel. Many of the performance oriented guys won't even buy kinesis anymore simply because of the fact that they were bought by asanti.
I'm probably the wrong guy to comment on wheels as i'm only interested in light, strong, non-bling. I think most wheels today just scream for attention instead of accessing the car. I don't think you should walk up to a car and say "whoa, look at those wheels". The wheels should highlight the car, not the other way around.
With that said, go get whatever makes you happy and enjoy it

I'm 35 and I don't think I'm old Chris and I can't stand the current trends in wheels. I live in Orange County and it is a crime what I see some of these guys do to their supercars. To spend the kind of money these supercars cost and then cheapen them out with a wheel that not only looks bad but also hinders performance and ride quality.
Pick a wheel that complements the overall look of the car and keeps performance at a premium. The E55 is amazing because of the performance/luxury combination. If you want to ride on chromed out 22s then you should buy an Escalade.

the wheels on that site look and very heavy. none of those wheels flow with the E55. more like tricked out escalade.

to the OP - maybe you can barter something else? The stock wheels are much nicer than anything there.

Unless you're starring in the sequel to the box office smash Shottas, I would suggest going with a different wheel shop.

Wow...that is a lot of wasted metal.
Out of the stuff on the site the Autocouture Aristo was ok but the spokes are in white. I'd probably get the spokes repainted to match your car.

Classic stuff. Great responses here. We've saved another E55 owner from going Too Fast Too Furious. The E55 is an unreal machine with incredible performance, pedigree and class. You're carrying the girl that's used to dining at Roy's with after hours at the jazz lounge drinking Krug. Not the ho that's eating at home, borrowing her sister's shoes hoping to get sprayed down with some Cristal at Da Club.

[QUOTE=NXtremeJeep;3123891]While I agree that some Asantis look "out of place" on a benz, for example:
wood grain grippin yo!
