Trust me, you don't want a ride in my car on a race track, if you do you are a bigger man than me. I don't like riding b!tch in anyones car at speed on a track, scares me to death and I'm not affraid of anything. I would not ride b!tch if Micheal Schumacher himself was driving. The seat on the left is way out of my element.

The big track? Holy cow, I am down and have another SL BS that may join. I'll ask, since I'm dying to drive it. I only get about 130 at Willows, though. Your car may get 150, I'd guess since you can pull farther, too (before braking). I know you aren't a dragster, but I'd still love a ride around Willows in your cars.

Jangy - 130mph on the front straight in an E55 is hard to believe....
I know I am a liar. And I didn't mean almost 130. I was in the 130s. To make it more controversial, I was outlapping a Z06 (modded with race fuel) and a Factory Spyker even though I was hot lapping the car.
That means you have to be exiting 9 at close to 100mph and that would be tough in a big heavy 4 dr sedan.
Honestly, it isn't. The area is flat so there is an illusion of counter camber. BUT, the key is to go deep into the turn BEFORE turn in. If not, you run too shallow and run into that little point.
You would have to carry a TON of speed through 8 and everyone knows running flat out through 8 takes HUGE ***** - you go off there and it's game over.
And yes, turn 8 is incredible but again no huge challenge. Hit it wide and brake late with a strong turn in and POUND IT. The car will hold if driven right. No need to come off the gas at all. Does that ring a bell?
Anyway - I'm in if you guys want to organize it and I'm happy to help as I know everyone there. Personally, I'd love to get everyone out on a road course after all this 1/4 mile talk !!!

I seriously doubt Jim could take out the new ZR1, with a good/great driver behind the wheel of the ZR1 & since Jim is a seasoned driver that would be a good match up if both had equal skill...Add DR's & that ZR1's gonna be GONE!! I'm calling it right now 10.70's @ 130+

ZR1 will be too fast, if a Z06 goes tens @ 128, the ZR1 will be much faster.

I stand by my statement and am well aware of what a ZR1 can do. I actually saw one dyno with just a pulley (GM Drivetrain testing) over 14 mos ago. 660rwhp SAE with a small pulley (16psi or so and no other mods.)

Jim check out NJMP.com it's an awesome road course in south jersey only about 30-40 min from Md
