2006 E55 AMG
030 Sport Package
I have a 2006 E55 and am still trying to learn a lot about the car. I've had it for a couple months now and I still look forward to driving the car each and every time. Damn it is fun. But, I have a lot to learn about the car still so forgive some of my questions from time to time. I've seen reference to the 030 Sport Package and searched the web and this site and couldn't get the basic information as to what it entails let alone whether or not I have it on mine. Can somebody help me here please?

Not exactly correct. The 030 package was initially only available through the "manufacturer" (AMG). For U.S. buyers, it meant you had to take European delivery and then have it "modded". Also, the e55k 030 package parts are available for purchase but the ECU part will still need to happen in Germany. Not worth the effort or their cost. On the E63, MB downgraded the package a little and made it an option for sale in the us market. Be very careful if you try to buy parts. The 55k and the 63 LSDs are DIFFERENT. 55k one locks at 30% and the e63 one locks at 40%. I dunno if you can run an E63 one on an E55.
