Need help - Sprint Booster
Hi everyone, I am a new 2008 E63 owner and need some advice on a Sprint Booster purchase. Do I need to purchase Sprint Booster model BDD451A2 or can I purchase model #BDD451A. On the ebay auction, it says that both those models are good for any Mercedes model but the BDD451A2 says it is specifically for AMG's. Can I use either or and if so, what is the difference?
Thank you in advance, I have been visiting this forum for several months and have been finding very good information. Great community!!
OT - I am looking forward to the SC application for 63's.....sick! I wonder if jrcart will slap that on the BS????

as far as i know you can use either...the difference comes with how they operate...it was explained to me once that the amg version is "less" aggressive than the auto version since its relying on the engine compromising with the aggressive reaction...its essentially toned down slightly to accomodate for the more powerful engine...the other version opens up the throttle more when accelerating and can result in jumpiness in the acceleration...

Depends how aggressive you want the feel, if your gf or wife is going to drive the car then get the AMG vs. I had the AMG version and really didn't like it, so I swapped it out for the Non AMG.

Someone told me that the amg version is "tuned" for amg cars and would be a waste if you got a non-amg because it won't work?
I've heard though that amg sprint boosters are "less aggressive."
I was under the impression that if I put a non-amg in my E55 it'll be more aggressive than the amg one..someone told me it wont even work tho..wth?

FWIW I put the AMG version on my E55 and LOVE IT. A big fan. But I seem to recall paying WAY less than they sell for on Ebay these days. Am I wrong, or have they gone way up on price? I'm trying to find a good price on one for my buddy (who I convinced to get an E), but the prices these days...

Thanks for all the input everyone! Here are the auctions #'s on ebay for the 2 different sprint boosters. 260288054021 and 260305697434. Do I need to do a ecu reset when I install the booster?
