LOL, and domestic U-S shipping is still $122, when it wouldn't cost more than $40 or so to ship those rotors. Nice 300% markup there...

I'm seeing more and more of this shipping gouging on eBay.

Hold on. All we do is enter the weight and size, and eBay calculates the rest! Blame eBay! So you know, the rotors weight over 100lbs and with current UPS rates, $122 does seem a little steep, but not really that far off when you account for handling involved (boxes, packaging material and time paid to employee to do this). If you think you can ship them for $40, then I will pay you $80 to ship them and you can keep whatever is left (hint: you will lose money on this sadly).

BTW, we also have lots of MBS items - like Kleemann E55 headers!

Check out the listings!

Thanks
Brad

Ya, you're right, eBay's shipping calculator thingy does run high. I have noticed that when I've listed stuff on there myself. No harm no foul.

FWIW, I ordered a new set of 4 rotors for my car, and they have similar weight to the E55 rotors at 30lbs+/- apiece, and IIRC shipping was only $46. Gotta love parts.com, though, they just dumped them in a box loose with no packing inside. They were kind of scratched up from banging together, but the scratches got polished out quickly from use. I guess you could say for a little while I had slotted rotors...

I like your evosport rotor products, btw. They look amazing.

WOW!! Talk about GOUGING!!

These guys normally do Shady Business practices like this?

They charge HIGH shipping cause that's 100% pure profit since eBay only charges them a commission fee on the "Sell Price"

I had these guys were a respectable business....gotta think twice now....

I thought that at first too, but if you read his response all he did was select the option that lets eBay automatically populate the shipping amount based on the weight and the buyers' zip. That thing is never accurate.

If you can find a better price then don't bid. Evosport is selling a great product regardless of the shipping cost so bid if want a great, complete rotor set up. You should also ask them about the best pads to go with the rotor set up. Just tell Brad or Simon how you plan to run your car and they will give you great advice about the proper pad you should be running. I am also sure that they will give you a great price on the pads too.It is as simple as that.

So you'll refund to the customer any 'unused' shipping charges?

Not a problem. Especially for international if it is way too high. They use UPS to calc shipping, and for international I would send them via USPS Priority Mail International which will be far less.

Thanks

This is why sponsors tend to ignore posts. Who cares if they gouge on shipping or not? Cost is cost and markup is all a part of continued business. All EVOsport has to do is be happy with sales.

04 - 06 e55 Wagon - looking for
Guys,

Shipping is ALWAYS a concern for a $9 or $1000 part or for a three lb part vs a one hundred lbs part. If you don't agree with shipping charge don't buy.

Shipping prices are always difficult to calculate. I could get a price over the phone, UPS customer service and at the actual UPS store and prices would be different.

Also, there is quite a bit of markup between retail and business accounts.

28lb standard bike box: retail UPS $68
Same box using store account $18

Markup is everywhere. CAVEAT EMPTOR.
