Oil Change Questions
Hi guys!
I have a 2005 E55. I'm expecting to drive around 5000-miles each year. Normally, I do my oil changes at 6 month/7500 miles, which ever one comes first.
Do you think I'm doing it too frequently? For my situation, would it be OK to change the schedule to 1-year/7500 miles, whichever one is first? I've received some responses which hinted that since I drive the vehicle not too often, it is OK to extend the oil to 1 year since it has a decent shelf life and the oil does not detroriate while it is inside the engine during that short of a time/mileage.
Also, what does the Parts Dept at Mercedes charge for 1-qt of oil? Just trying to do some planning before I do my 1st oil change.
Thanks!

Self oil change
Under that scenario, once a year is enough, if you have to be **** about it, do it twice. Oh, read the thread noted above.....
