*** VRP AMG63 Shorty Headers ***

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Here is a final version of our shorty headers for M156 AMG63 engine. Picture shows raw headers. They are going to get Black HiTemp thermal coating and dyno tested later next week.

Current version fits E/CLS/C/CLK63, version for S/CL/ML/SL63 will follow.

I will post more details ASAP.

Thank you for listening.

Wow - very cool. Nice to see more products coming out for the 63 !!! I see you posted this over in the Black Series forum - will these bolt right up on the Black Series or is it more involved ??
Also - what is the size of the collection downpipe - did you keep it the stock 2.75" ?? Lastly, price ??

Those headers are looking really good. Please post more pics, with the high-temp coating. Do they fit the stock pipes and cats? How much?

Thank you everyone!

Headers are bolt on to all 63s. No cutting required.

This particular set fits E/CLS/CLK/C63, including Black Series. For other chassis slight change in flange angle is required. Those will be available by the end of the year.

Pricing will be in low$2K. I will have final numbers later this week.

I will have dyno numbers very shortly.

Thanks Vadim. That's a great deal, too. Look forward to seeing dyno results - I think I will be buying a set for my Black Series.

I am assuming 5.0 for both sides, right? MOTORS guide is at 3.3 per side on a CLK (not yet updated for a C63). So, 5.0 is fair. I wonder what MBZ warranty time and non-warranty time is?

Can't wait to see what the shortys do in comparison to the log. What is the warranty on cracking?

It is nice to see hardware coming out for the 63s...

Rick, what headers are you running? I thought you had full ones from RennTech?

RennTech but shoties only. Yet to find any shop with a set of long tubes ready to go . There may be some ready soon for the 63's and 55's I will let you know.

That's what I figured, a 10 hour total install time. With what shops charge per hour it really adds up.

RennTech shorties are nice, but just no way to get equal length, much less long without cutting. It is even worse for the 55s, since there really aren't any nice shorties out. These VRP shorties for the 63 look great. I wish they had them for the 55s as well. I've cut the secondary cats and won't be smogging until 2012, so what the hay...
