I seriously doubt it, considering the SL55 didn't dip into the tens. I think you are safe for now. Famosa just isn't MIR. My guess is they CLS63s will be mid 11s.

I'm just waiting to see wat mods Rick was trying and if any were more than just a tweak here or a nip there.

He's been talking like he had something for me. Jangy, you going to run Big Willow Jan 15th? I'm gonna be out there most likely.

It is my B-Day and I got the ad from EVOsport. I really want to go, so we'll see. I've been kinda busy with personal stuff and lost my traction for a moment. I'd LOVE to see your car at big willows. I can only imagine how much faster it is than the E in the transitions plus you have plenty of power on the straights. I'd love to make it just to watch the rest make the runs. I'll see if Symbolic has any Willows plans with the SL65 BS.

I thought Rick was going to try MHP's ECU/TCU but you've been there. He also mentioned a secret weapon but he does that ll the time and it may just be a single underdrive pulley...

Woah! I think that is a new record for the SL55 How is this possible your trap is insane for that altitude & DA this run below was done @ MIR w/-2000 DA & near Sea Level track w/comparable VRP modded SL55, infact that trap speed is off the charts vs other similar modded SL55's unless you were using NOS

What is your rwhp rwto??

SL55 MIR Run: 11.421 @ 121.23

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow, what a day, what a track!

I actually had back-to-back 11.4 second passes six minutes apart. This was the second pass and was marginally better than the first, both in ET and trap speed.

LOL! I knew that was coming.....No NOS for me, I have nothing against NOS or the people that use it, but it is not for me. Besides everyone today have seen my car inside out.

In regards to rwhp & rwtq, I dont have those numbers yet. Once Vadim installs the VRP cams, he will do a custom dyno tune and I will post the numbers.

One of my runs:

60ft - 1.683
1/8 - 7.369
mph - 96.01
1/4 - 11.382
mph - 123.86

Other Run:

60ft - 1.678
1/8 - 7.376
mph - 95.42
1/4 - 11.433
mph - 122.29

That thing is flying on the back half your making another 27.85 mph + your running the same exact times the LIGHTER E55k's are running (Do you have any major weight reductions?)

Your SL55 weighs an EZ 300+lbs more than the E55 W211 Note the no (6) is using a 100 shot of NOS, & his TRAP speed is only 1mph faster than your best

Oh man..... what a great day and a great event. I don't know where to start. It was awesome meeting everybody there, we had a lot of fun First, I want to thank Rick (rarfinancial) for helping me with this event. Without him, we probably would've never went through with it. Thanks Rick....

Early in the day between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m., there was no rain what so ever, so they started prepping the track, but then as they were doing that, we would start getting a few drops of rain here and there. And so we would wait until it stopped. Then right before we think about starting our runs again, it would drop a few more drops, and so forth. We kept playing that game of rain/no rain and wait/no wait until it finally stopped raining completely at 11:00 a.m. Famoso guys started prepping the track and we started racing around noon. Since then, it did not rain one drop and we had full sun shine all day long. As soon as we started running, things got a lot more fun Our DA was of course killed due to the rain and high humidity. I was expecting -600 to +600, but it looks like it ranged from 0 to 400 ft all day long. This is definitely not bad for California conditions. Best part about the rental is the no wait feature...... I don't think anybody waited more than 20 seconds to start a run :.naughty.:

- Terry's 135 ran a best of 11.80s (world record) and best trap of 120.x (highest ET for any 335) His car was running great all day. Terry is a super nice guy, and he is very knowledgeable in many racing setups. Thanks for the tip about the track Terry, and it was great meeting you today....

- My car was running fairly consistently today (not bothered by heat soak too much). We ran a bunch of 12.20s with a new best of 12.23 @ 115.50 (beats my old record).

- Rick's car ran a best of 12.0 @ 117.x naturally aspirated and a best of 11.75 on 70 shot NOS (not sure if he used 100% of the 70 shot, he may have sprayed only 50%). His car looked pretty good out there. But his best mod was his light-weight driver mod. His daughter ran 12.08 @ 118.86 (highest trap for a 63 on the west coast). And it gets better........ that was her first time out . She was trapping so high that she was making all of us look bad It was great meeting you, and hopefully we'll see you with Rick at each event

- Juicee's car ran fairly consistently today as well. I think it stayed at around 12.30 to 12.40s. Juicee couldn't finish his twin turbo project that was initially planned to be setup in the trunk, so he had to run naturally aspirated. No worries bro, we'll have time to finish it next time Looks like round 4 goes to Rick this time. There is an awesome picture were Juicee hands over the AMG flag to the new champion (Rick's daughter)..... priceless Juicee, you're still a champ to us my friend.

- URnext, your car wins the championship of the day man..... . His car ran an 11.38 @ 123.x and sounded mean and extremely strong. If it wasn't for the MIR event less than a month ago, his car would've almost held the 55 record. He is now officially the quickes/fastest SL55. It was nice meeting you and hope to see you again in our next event....

- sgtstanko's Jeep was very impressive as well. He ran 11.70s naturally aspirated and I believe mid 11s on NOS. His car was a jaw dropper every time he ran. Lots of people were confused . Steve, I'm glad you had a fun time man, and hopefully we'll do this again soon.

- The BMW M3 ran 12.50s, 12.40s, 12.30s, 12.20s, then a very impressive 12.10 If he would've stayed longer, I'm sure he would've ran a 12.00 or maybe even high 11s. I believe his car has UD pulleys + exhaust + a few other bolt-ons. The most shocking feature I noticed on the M3 was how fast it shifted. I thought he was shifting manually at first, but he said the computer was doing it. That new DCT tranny from BMW performed unbelievably well with incredibly fast and crisp shifts. sticky2, your car was shifting so fast, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Congrats on your times.....

- Chris's 2009 charger was one of the best looking cars out there. This is a SEMA show car. The car was flawless and beautiful inside out, yet here it was sitting with us in the rain and running down the track. Chris is a great guy and ran very incredible times. His best time I believe was 11.70s @ 118 mph

- Fantasm ran a best of 12.50s @ 114 I believe in his SL63. The car sounded like the God of Thunder.

- Finally Shawn's car had a very difficult time gaining traction. His car is a stage 3 (Pulley, ECU, headers, TB). He tried and tried, but it was just too difficult for some reason. I think he still managed an 11.60s @ 122 mph. Shawn, I know you're not too happy with that time, but it was still awesome man....

The guys at Famoso setup the track so that we can come back along side of the track and run again instead of going all the way around and coming back from behind the lines. This is made it much faster to get back to the staging lane. I had over 35 passes in my car, and I know almost everybody had at least 10 runs There was no waiting at the lines or waiting for track prep. Just line up and go.... then cool down, then again..... line up and go I loved every minute of it.

It was great seeing you guys there and hope we can do this again soon......

Excellent stuff!!! I'm shocked, yet extremely happy that the E92 M3 hit a 12.1!!! Any idea what he trapped? Wish I would have known about this event earlier! Congrats on everybody's times.

I'm not very sure what he trapped (too many runs all at once ). I think maybe he trapped 113 to 114 mph. His car was shifting very fast and was running exceedingly stronger. I truly believe he could've ran 12.0 if he would've stayed longer. With a few more bolt-ons, he should be in the 11s easily.

115 was the trap for that run.

I thought about staying longer, but I was so happy I broke into the 12.1 range that I was satisfied.

I got no sleep, I just stayed up up to leave at 5 AM to get to the track on time. If I had known it was going to be raining for the first 4 hours, I would have slept in and stayed late

Was just too tired, plus I left myself 11's to shoot for next time. Hope people start to realize the new M3 is pretty formidable, especially with DCT. Considering it hasn't been out long and I hit 12.1's already, people have underestimated it.

Shorter gearing will put me in the 11's easy, but I think I can get there with just a new tune and Mickey Thompson radials and a decent line lock.

I got no sleep, I just stayed up up to leave at 5 AM to get to the track on time. If I had known it was going to raining for the first 4 hours, I would have slept in and stayed late

Was just too tired, plus I left myself 11's to shoot for next time. Hope people start to realize the new M3 is pretty formidable, especially with DCT.

Shorter gearing will put me in the 11's easy, but I think I can get there with just a new tune and Mickey Thompson radials and a decent line lock.
Wow, 115 is very impressive man..... Your car WILL GO 11s next time my friend

Excellent job!!!

What are your mods again? 60' times? DR's should put you there, please post up your slips!!! I'm moving on from my VFE SC'd E46 to the DCT E92, I think it's going to respond to boost quite good as well. Again, fantastic job!
