Ya you guys can meet at my shop if you'd like...I'll be running around like crazy trying to get cars back to the customers for the weekend but the lot has cleared out in the last couple days so there should be enough room for everybody.

How many of you are planning on coming? It will be nice to meet some of you as well, looking forward to Friday.

Body shop if you don't mind

Should only be a few of us at best so I doubt we would even bother the place

The car has gone from tame to a a very throaty monster. The car is very mellow at idle and cruising speeds but does become viscous at WOT.

Your ride sounds frickin sick!!!! I saw you on Rosecrans around 5pm as I was heading towards Phil's BBQ.

The car does sound MEAN!! And it is pretty quiet when it is just idling. Under load, though it is a BEAST!!

Welcome to the Kleemann Fam.... It really does make a big difference in sound. Inside the car is still sounds quiet but if you just roll your windows down and get on it from about 35mph - 100mph it will make the hair on your arms stand up. Very subtle at idle but if you are in Park of Neutral just tap the gas and give it a quick shot, as the RPMs drop you will get a good taste of that deep growl as it goes back to idle.

Personally I think it is perfect for these cars. Some of the aftermarket exhausts just sound *****ty and make the car sound cheap.

Yes, welcome to the Kleemann experience. I really love my K2 kit so far and I can't wait to get the cams this Spring. I always think it's funny to see some Mustang GT500 or something at a gas station and the driver be surprised when he hears what I've got under the hood. Surprisingly, they never want to go at it after that. (Makes 'em wanna go and trade that American muscle for a real performance car!) LOL

did you get the long tube kleeman headers with downpipe and freeflow cats?

Kleeman says and others have tested them giving around 35 hp..
including the cats .

long tube and free flow cats or no cats will give alot more power than a shorty header,,

the shorty is good for about 20-25..hp

As far as I know, Kleemann only makes one header style for our cars. It's certainly not a true longtube, however it isn't really a shorty either. It's long enough to require that you remove the first set of cats for it, which obviously aids performance.

I'm sure if you search around here you can find pictures of some.

I have just the headers and the primary cats removed. I figured if I was going to have it done I want as much power as possible so I did not see the need for the HF cats.

The sound does take people off guard. When I get on it you can see people look around to see what it is, Mercedes is probably the last thing they expect to see.

I just bought Headers + HF cats and was thinking of replacing our stock secondaries with those HF
but if you say it's so loud, maybe better for me to install HF instead of primaries and keep stock sec. cats ..

I failed to mention that my car also has the resonator removed and modified mufflers. This does aid to the sound of the system.

Are you running stock mufflers and resonator?

yes, stock muff and res

If the installer can make something to keep sound to near stock level
I wil stay with no first and HF instead of secondaries

for sound and hopefully performance, I will have cutouts to bypass mufflers

sounds like your car is going to sound good and perform really well.

In your sig you are getting SLR intercoolers, who is doing that for you?

not getting, yet .. only studying

should I find the way to enlarge our engine bay and avoid to cripple those sexy things ... nobody came out with a practical solution yet
maybe will switch to another design. SAD ... I even got a nearly human offer for the things

further, my misc mods are bringing me out of budget now
