Hello,

I was reading people saying how violently the shift from 1st to 2nd is during WOT, but I am not experience it..

I have reset my ecu and floored it and it still seems to be shifting slow.

When people say violently are they over exaggerating it? I have driven the e46 M3 SMG, is it supposed to shift that hard?

Is this M transmission? or keep in D?

the e55 will not shift as violently as a m3 smg. the m3 hits you in the chest when it shifts WOT, the e55 is smoother.

btw...the best way to get the most speed from the car is to use sport transmission...

I must say, I have been less than impressed by the 1-2 shift as well. And this is in Sport.

imho, if you're looking for "violent or hard" shifts, you won't find it in an amg. you should get "firm" shifts (at least after a reset or after some hard driving) but that's as far as i would go for an explanation of what our trans feels like.

Should be quick, hard, and feel like a slingshot. This car clunks down harder than my old Transam.

I sometimes bog down from 1rst to 2nd if under full load shifting ,then pauses then boom full blast 2nd
this is with esp off. Its like it hits the limiter, but it does not bounce back (in sport mode by the way) with manual 1rst gear selected when shifting into 2nd

speeds any where from 40-50kph

is this TCU related?
this is a question to those who are modded?

Can a TCU tune fix this?
