Modification to Transmission when rebuilding? Is there any?

Just wondering if anyone has modified there stock tran's in there E55. Is there upgraded clutches, valvebodys or anything that can be done when you are rebuilding the tranny? I bought mine knowing the trans was slipping but also my friends has a trans shop and has built these before so im in good hands, but were trying to find out if there is anything out there to beef it up.

Thanks
Justin

Check out IPT transmissions. They sell a valve body with new porting for higher line pressure. It is a good deal. They also sell a complete rebuild kit with kevlar clutches. If you want to go big they sell a complete transmission that will be bullet proof for 4000.00.
Who new that Chrysler would be the source of performance parts for Mercedes?

I wouldn't reccomend IPT I had problems with them and so did many other people. The clutches ipt sells are not Kevlar they are just stock replacement clutches. if you want a good trans contact Eddie @ southernhotrod.com 1(888)244-4364 they have these transmissions running in cars with over 1000/whp
