1,3,8 key function for Service CD prep
Hold down 1,3,8 just after COMAND is turned on without a CD in the drive and the COMAND will be in "auto update" mode ready for a service CD to be inserted.
What a service CD is ... I am not sure !!?? but I guess firmware upgrades for the AGW, Central Gateway and COMAND. The NAV firmware in our car can only be upgraded from the boot/trunk DVD drive.

2 things...
1. I think the HVAC stuff is just technical info for technicians. I know for the W210 cars someone wrote a web application where you could type in all your numbers and it would tell you what part(s) were bad. Never used it, but seemed like a cool tool.
2. The ONLY thing I miss about my W210 vs my E55 is that you could hit the temp up/down buttons at the same time to set the temp to 72 degrees. This was VERY handy if you had driver and passenger temps set to 58 or 88. Basically one press would save you 32 button presses...

1. We need a MAX button on the A/C panel. Press it once, max cold. Press it again, max heat. That would make life much simpler.
2. Are the E55s made to not roll back on hills? From what I remember they don't roll back, but recently my car has been. Just trying to figure out if something's wrong with my car or my memory.
Thanks

Window roll down and up from outside with keyless go
On my old C32 I used the IR a lot in the summer to roll down the windows from outside the car and it worked really well. It has never worked well on my E55 and I have to hold the key almost touching the sensor on the driver door handle to get it to work. With keyless go on the E55 I hate taking the key out of my pocket anyway.
This may be common knowledge, but I finally figured out how to roll down the windows from outside without using the IR on the key fob. Actually my 3 year old did, I just had to figure out what sequence he was monkeying with the buttons. It isn't in the manual to my knowledge. I could always roll them up, but had never gotten them to go down until today.
To roll down:
Press and hold the lock button on the outside of the door handle. Without letting it go, now press and hold the unlock button on the back of the handle. All the windows and sunroof will go down while you are holding it and the driver side seat ventilator will come on. Sometimes I have to press the unlock twice to get it to work. Really nice in the summer.
To roll up:
Press and hold the lock button on the outside of the door handle. All windows and sunroof will go up while you are holding it.

Actually, in mine it's up, up, down, down, L, R, L, R, B, A, start... This method, when done correctly increase my RWHP to 750 and torque of 1000nm... It only works until I shut my car off though and then I have to do it again when I restart it...

Passenger side mirror auto adjustment while in Reverse can be disabled by toggling the Left/Right mirror selectors. Not sure, which is which - but next time while in reverse, tap the L/R mirror buttons.
Sometimes I need to see above the curb while reversing, comes in handy.

First you have to set the position of the mirror when in reverse. Then, when you want it down, the passenger side mirror must be selected on the mirror adjustment buttons when backing up.
