Thanks for the insight.

I have been thinking that while I also wanted to pick up something new for the wife, I may just have her drive the E55 and keep it for another year.

My logic is that it has to be getting close to the bottom in the low $20K range so it may be a better equation to get another year of fun out of it for another $8K or so.

However, an SLK55 would be much more to her liking and they are falling like flies too.

It is a buyers market and I'm just waiting for an SLR at $150K!

What is that bottom corner number under Dec 2009 where it says $2,950 and $3,675? Surely those are not car values for the end of this next year!!

I believe it's estimated depreciation between in that time frame.

+1...

I would say part out for fast sale or try to find the right buyer might take some time...

Besides, tasteful mods, while they don't get you more for the car, certainly help set it apart from the other 200 for sale!

I don't really see any mods on the car other than some bolt on appearance mods. Hopefully he won't loose too much on those. Mid 20's seems about right. I would be scared to see what it would go for without the warranty.

Oops, I didn't see that his car has only 23k miles on it. 27k isn't a bad price to expect to sell it for. good luck!

If suppose if you have to ask how much it will depreciate, you can't afford an AMG! I think I might have to try and knock another $10K off the SL65 to help compensate.
