Fair price to sell my beast for?
I am well into my SL65 search and have a car in Naples that I may go get in 2 weeks while I am down there for a little poker run. ![devil](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/devil.gif)
So here is my E55:
'03 Techtite over Merlot w/ Anthracite wood
24K Miles
CPO to 10/2010
Every option for an '03 except for Pano and Keyless Go:
Dynamic Seats (w/heat/vent)
Distronic
Parktronic
Auto Trunk Closer
Rear Sun Shade
CD Changer
Bluetooth Puck for Phone
Full Clear Bra on EVERYTHING with no damage, scratches, or chips
Upgrades:
Custom finish of stock wheels to "liquid metal" (similar to M car wheels)
E63 Front End Conversion (done properly with ALL parts)
E63 Trunk Lip Spoiler
MP Design all leather sport wheel
Black crest center caps on wheels
DFWDude Flat Badge and MB Star
E63 Shift Paddle Conversion
E63 Pedals
Clear Markers
Toyo T1Rs (upsized 10MM in rear)
Illuminated "AMG" door sills
VRP Carbon Engine Cover
Code 3 7" Heat Exchanger
Johnson CM30 Pump
Eisenmann Race Exhaust
3M Window Tint
V1 hardwire
And some other stuff I am forgetting
Car has never been pullied, street raced, or tracked. Car needs nothing and has all service up to date.
While it would be smarter to part it out, I don't want to be bothered with that so I will keep it the way it is.
I haven't taken any photos and will get around to that when I post an ad but if you have seen one perfect E55, you have seen them all!
So, what do you guys think I should go after for $$$ in this crazy market? Also trying to decide if I should keep it until the Spring and sell it then after people are hopefully done with their panic sales as I don't need to sell now. And I do realize that I will take it in the shorts but so is the seller of the SL65 so it all evens out.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

"Fair" is not a word that can be used in the current market. You're only saving grace is that the SL65s should be dirt cheap.
Even if the market improves by spring you're still 6 months further down the road with the '03 value.
The perf options are a downside to alot of buyers, and with the super low miles some might think its been driven a 1/4 mile at a time. Returning it to stock might make an easier sell. Plus you'll get some bucks for the mods if you sell them here

Unfortunately for you boss, I have to agree with this poster. You're absolutely correct, you're gonna completely take this one in the shorts twice if you decide to sell right now.

If you have the stock e55 bumpers I'd say sell those before anything. The e63 bumpers should fly off your hands here. Then maybe you can sell your car for mid 30's to low.

With that condition and mileage Manheim #'s are just north of 23k. Obviously you can add more onto that as those are auction prices. Mods would probably entice someone to spend a bit more as well. I would think $30ish or maybe a bit more. Sounds like a really awesome car. Best of luck.

You have an awesome car
and I have to be honest, it would probably be MUCH better to part out your mods, sure it takes more time, but the benefit overcomes the cost, IMHO, the car's value has plummeted but the resale of mods are still good...
... in that regard, u want to get rid of those pesky eismann race mufflers....![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
how about some new pics with the 63 bumper

I'm not seeing any pictures. Unfortunately, this market sucks if you need to sell or trade something to get the next car. But you bring up a good point that while losing money on your car, you are most likely getting a great deal on the other.

Well, unfortunately, it looks like there have been 4-6 sales or so per month, which points to the E55, especially since it is supposed to be a national report. If you look at the weekly sales lists for manheim in just Orlando, the number of E's generally is well in excess of this.

I hear where you are coming from and while this is always the smartest thing to do, I don't want to be bothered so no part-out.
Besides, tasteful mods, while they don't get you more for the car, certainly help set it apart from the other 200 for sale!

Yikes, worse than I would have thought. Sadly, I think the cars impacted by this downturn will not ever recover. They should just have slower depreciation curves but even that is not holding.
