What DIY mods will make the S/C more prominent?

I noticed that on my second trip to the track in my car back in Feb that the SC was a bit louder than the 1st time that I went to the track and the only difference was that I removed the plastic piece under the hood. My son was at the start line and he said that he could hear it as I went down the track.

To increase compressor whine, simply change the intake. AMG has designed their intake to be very quiet on purpose. The intake geometry and material are of great influence. Listen to the RENNtech air-box - it adds TONS of whine!

I started my E55 up with no intake tubes or airbox and gave it a rev... holy crap - and that wasn't even under load. I didn't have the ***** to drive it on the street with no filters tho...
I have a Supercharged (aftermarket) Infiniti G35 and when I changed the factory airbox to a tube and cone style, it increased the whine 10 fold. Here is a video with sound for your perusal...

About a week after my G35 mod, I was driving under an overpass where a pedestrian was walking. As I went under, I hit the throttle and the guy jumped 4 feet in the air. I'm sure he filled his pants... Where as with the factory airbox, it was barely audible.
