I just saw this thread. Wow what amazing work. It's weird, but when I look through your thread, it seems like you're doing everything I'd do to that car if I owned it. I absolutely love your 65 rims, two tone interior, heated rear seats, leather stitched airbag with the AMG stamp (so much better than the standard plastic), and the custom leather interior pieces.

I feel like we have a similar style in mods. I love OEM parts and I love retrofitting things not originally available in the US. I don't think I've ever seen a facelifted 211 grille with Distronic before- but you've got it!

If you don't mind, can you please share with me how much it cost to do the leather items through MBenzNL? That's something that I wish my car had as my interior is almost all plastic but the Vision R63 concept car had an all leather interior. Please PM me if you don't wish to share it here- or don't share with me if you don't want to.

Also, if you have the time, please check out my build thread which is linked in my signature. I'd love to hear your comments.

The tint is not as blue. Hard to tell from the photos. I can feel a difference when the sun is coming from the side. I haven't done the windshield or rear window yet. Just the door windows.

What an amazing build man. Wow!

Now that I've wiped the drool off, I have GOT to know the part number for those illuminated sills. I must have them...like now!

Edit: found an original set on eBay for 900 effing bux, and only the fronts illuminate. Man, you gotta pay to play huh? Knock off from Taiwan has all 4 that light up for 260.00. Hmmmmmm...

I pm'd you t-bone, but just in case others know, I'd really like to know where you got the AMG seal that you have on your ashtray cover:

There's nothing on eBay that resembles this. Looks nice! If anyone knows, please post a link. Thanks!

I bought them online, but I can't find them for sale anymore. I may have some extra ones lying around, but I'll need to check.

Probably will start selling some of the parts I replaced.

Anyone interested in the leather AMG airbag?

Please keep in mind that this leather airbag is not the standard airbag. It has AMG stamped into it and the leather is like a buttery smooth nappa leather. It is also stitched. So this is not what you would normally find on ebay.

Was your car ever on eBay? I remember seeing a clean two tone E55 a while back in the North East area.

LOVE the trunk spacer and tub along with the little garbage bag you go in the car. Really makes it 'classier' imo.

You also list 'rear ashtrays delete' is this on the door panels?

Nah... not that crazy, but I've seen it done before. I would consider it if the CLS had a similar two-toned interior.
