Matte Black
I thought matte black was a paint job... not a vinyl sticker wrap!?!?! Apparently its a trend in Dubai with Matte Black and Chrome vinyl wraps.
Anyone done there w211 E55? Curious to hear your thoughts and see what it looks like on our cars. Brabus Black Arrow C63 looks hot!

it last for about 2-4 years if I remember correctly.... some of my friends in asia did this a couple year ago, but off course with a fraction of the price here.
I believe it runs you for about $3-4K to complete the job....pretty much the same with re-painting .

OK. I think I might try it on my e55. I know its a fad and probably will look hideous in a year or two. Then I'll just remove it. I'll have a shop do the install.
What's your guys honest opinion...

Car Whore
Hmmm that youtube video found me stickercity.com which is pretty close to me. Cool... I am thinking about wrapping my GTS in matte black, matte white, or perhaps matte red

There is a new special edition CLS with a painted platinum matte finish. I can't imagine getting rid of all the different waxes I've got.

The great thing about it is the protection from all those really minor chips, scuffs, and scratches that seem to appear out of nowhere, especially if you track the car.

So this costs about 3-4K guys?
Sounds fun simply due to the fact that the car doesn't have to get sanded, filled, taped, etc, etc.. all to change a color.
I was looking into having my entire front end resprayed this spring. If this would last several years I would maybe consider it over a respray, especially if it was proven to be more chip/scratch resistant than regular paint. They could/should probably make an opaque clear finish too. That would render any color car flat finish.
What do you guys think? Is this more playing dolly dress up for those with disposable income or is it a legitimate change/modification???
