Me too buddy, but they are almost always wrong

It's going 11.00000001 I wont have time to get everything I want done in time but I'll try to make it go tens for you. I'm bringing 2 spare axles. I don't even have my ice reservoir in yet, its been sitting here for months! Dunno if I will get it in in time

If I spray I guarantee tens I'm actually aiming for tens on pump this time around.

I think we should try to set up some pre-race matchups. Not as "call-outs" for money races...but just to match up cars that are of even performance to run side by side in a friendly manner.

Tom
I'm not sure I'll be able to make the trek from Michigan (50:50 at this point) but I think Tom's idea is a good one.

In addition to individual match-ups, how about a "King of the Benzes" elimination contest? The 10 second and low 11 second cars would have an obvious advantage but they might red light or have a slow RT, which would give us slower guys a chance.

I hope you can make it

My main goal will be to set a personal best and hopefully get into the tens without nitrous. After that I'm game for anything

Anything less than going 10's (no bottle) will be unacceptable.

If I/we have to wrench on your car Sunday morning then so be it. We will be fully prepared with tools Ahmad. I'll also have a flatbed coming with me with the TT C6 so if the schizzle really hits the fan we'll be ready!

The Gatorade will be chilllllyyyyy bro!

10's or bust!!!!!!!

I like the "King of Benzes" idea... it would be a very interesting tournament if we had 16 cars:

I think we do seeding based on 1/4 times that day.

Projected Seeding (how it would look based on previous performances):

1. Stephen Selden (on the bottle and assuming tranny/rear are ok) 10.585
2. Marko 10.72
3. Jay 10.98
4. jrcart (on the bottle) 11.049
5. Ahmad 11.091
6. E55Baller 11.116
7. Camdon 11.27
8. MeMyselfandI 11.403
9. jmf003 11.421
10. JT55 11.460

Could lead to some pretty interesting match-ups.

I agree! I just hope I can get most of what I want done in time. If Jim isn't coming I probably wont be spraying

That would be fun. #9 has already beat #5 so anything can happen! Marko and Stephen will end up in the finals

The interesting thing is that Jay was behind the wheel of 3 of those 10 runs above. Should we make a rule now that the owner needs to run their own car? It kind of hurts me...as I took advantage of Jay's expertise...but just trying to be fair.

You know your car better than anyone so a couple of shakedown runs and then ***** TO THE WALLS!!!! TAtatatatatatatata10's!!

We are just trying for some high MPH runs with the TT C6. Not too worried about 60' and ETA this time out. There will be plenty of Atco and Englishtown trips this year.

OWNERS MUST DRIVE THEIR OWN CARS!

Were was that flatbed when i broke my tranny in November?!?! LoL ...j/k. Thankfully Oxygen was there and had SDS to unlock it for me so I was able to make it home that day.

I am coming. Planning on running, but unfortunatly will be on street tires this time around. SO probably not going to make too many passes. Andy said he will possibly give me some time behind his DR's. Probably no record braking passes for me unless these Conti's on 19's somehow hookup for me!

Yup. Bringing 2 spare axles this time. No more games, this car is going tens on pump

That TT C6 is gonna be insane! I might have to make a few trips up north this year.

There is no real list since not many prepaid. I am expecting a very good turnout though.

SDS will be there with Oxygen manning the keyboard and definitely take up Andy on his offer for the use of his DR's. I'll be fully stocked with tools for everything but a TRANNY! We'll swing the wheels for you or help at least.

I promise I will be fully stocked with tools and you better bring 3 or 4 axles because nothing but 10's will be a real downer. If the DA is as great as it was in Nov then............10's!!!

I might be firing that TT up tomorrow if I get the base file done. Started it Saturday afternoon and just need time to get the file done. Looks amazing and you'll get to see it this weekend.

It will be quite a car but as you know, Mr Axle, "A car is only as fast as its weakest link" and I know what we are facing already. The numbers look promising!

Tranny is not o.k....it is on its last legs but it runs fine on the street. Can't make it on March 1st but a new tranny is coming some time this year. After the new tranny I will run it again for sure. I am going to a road course event at VIR on April 21 which really doesn't strain the tranny as much as a "full on" launch.

Stephen:

Sorry to hear you won't be there on Sunday.

Just out of curiosity, how do the brakes hold up on the road course? You still have the stock brakes, right?

I just recieved confirmation that my car will not be ready this week, therefore I will not be able to attend the MIR event. Good luck to everyone and have fun. Ahmad, I'll be watching from here and pulling for you to go 10's...just don't go to low into the 10's LOL. We need to get something besides an E or V12 into the 10 second club. Hopefully I will join you in the 10 second club in a coouple weeks when I run at Houston.

Stock brakes with EBC ceramic pads (red) and they seem to hold up fine. I replaced the brake fluid with a Motul fluid with a higher boiling temp and that helps brake fade quite a bit. VIR is a long course and it has two long straights that help cool the brakes before the tighter twisties. On the long back straight my car is going over 150mph!!! The Audis that were there that day couldn't keep up at all on the long straights.

Oh that really sucks! Was hoping you could make it. Oh well, there is always next time! Any more details for this event at VIR? Where do I sign up? I'm actually a ACNA member. Would love to get out to a track with another benz, especially VIR full circuit! Good luck with the trans, if you ever wanna take mine out for a spin you are more than welcome to.

That sucks. Good luck with getting that situation resolved. Thanks for the support, I'm not going to spray the car this weekend and will hold back a few things I was going to do. Would I be the first V8 to break into the tens off nitrous? Would be nice. Maybe I'll go for the overall record next time. You are so close to the tens, the c/f driveshaft should be the little nudge you need to get there hopefully.
