MIR Spring Event 3/1/09
MIR begins their events starting the weekend of March 7th so after that date we can no longer reserve the track on a weekend (until the end of 09). I was trying to get Feb. 28th reserved for us with a rain date of March 1st but that isn't possible since they will be out of town on the 28th. I have reserved Sunday March 1st for our spring event. Being an offseason, two lane, weekend rental we need a minimum of 40 cars just like last time. Again, spectators will be charged $10 in order for us to get racers in for $100 instead of $200.
I am taking prepayments of $104 ($4 for paypal fees) at mercedeseclass@hotmail.com to reserve your spot. When paypaling the money please make sure to include your full name, car/s, and screen name (if applicable). This will make it much easier to give a list of attendees to the person at the gate that will let everyone into the track. Thanks![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Lets hope for great weather because I DO NOT want to make another forecast prediction one week prior to the event date!
So who is in?

I will not be attending their March track meet but if Ahmad has another track meet in Nov or Dec later this year then it will sound more possible. When and if that time comes I will most likely have one of my clients hual my car there and just fly up for the event. My clients range from a 3-8 car haulers.
If you are interested and especially when the time comes closer I will start a thread for the Cali guys who want to join me in on transporting their car with one of my clients. I can get a considerable discount and then I will splt cost with who ever decides to go.

I know what you mean. I did express some interest to Ahmad about attending but damn, Maryland? What a distance! Not to mention March is already to soon to plan anything for this cross country voyage for me at least.

IF there happens to be another event later on in the year and you plan on going...definitely let me know. Would rather much have my car transported over there then driven there...it would make life so much easier! I would definitely be down to roll...

Sorry Ahmad. I'll be on the streets of Port of Spain, Trinidad, for Carnival. Gazing at 1/2 to fully naked bodies of some of the most beautiful women of the Caribbean. But that's almost like being in Budd's Creek watching a myriad of broken axles and certain CLKs have 'traction issues' past the 1000' mark. Well, almost.

Wife is a Trini, so she'll be there. I've been trying to go to Carnival without her for a few years now, and she'll have nothing of it. I've been told that the women there will actually attack you in the street if you're American and don't look like Sloth, from the movie Goonies. They just throw the vagina at you, apparently. ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
My trip to Rio was like this. Boy, do they love the Americans.
I'm gonna try. But apparently the streets of Carnival is almost no place for a camera. They have this ritual on the night before Carnival called J'ouvert. Starting at 3am, it's basically a gigantic party in the streets with a catch. People come up to you and slather paint and mud all over your body and you do the same to them. No body part is sacred and it's an unbelievable hedonistic event.
But yeah, I'm gonna try.
