If it's mediocre, then I might just try boring out my extra block to 6.1, iron-sleeve it and throw some turbos on it to see what she can do. The only place that's done that was the shop that used to do it for Brabus. Trying to find a cheaper place that will do it, knows how and has done it before.

I say you get your car running and actually drive it and enjoy it before you start boring and putting turbos giving you more chances of running into more problems.

I've got a spare block so it would be a separate development project jointly funded by me and the engine builder.
My car will be on the road and at home while the spare engine will be worked on at the engine builder's shop. It will likely be a 3 month project.

oh the C55 engine? I thought it was toast well sounds like a good plan to me. Just didn't want to see you deprived of your vehicle for another year

I actually have a local shop that is custom making me the same setup only with 3.5" pipes all the way up to the radiator for 525 with all their parts and labor. I'm sure if I ask them to use the 3" pipe and get it past the radiator they would probably charge me the same.
