I think the posters agenda would be to go and bid on your behalf. What I find curious is under the seller blurb is (REPOS)... Is this thing a repo?

That would be embarassing to have a car worth almost a half million dollars that you cannot make payments on and it gets reposessed. For that matter, unless you can pay cash for a half million dollar car, you probably should seriously rethink the purchase.

I feel so bad for the guy that puts all his cash into buying one, then goes in for a brake job. 20,000$ baby!!

A few months ago I was driving to McD's around midnight, and I saw a couple of cars pulled over on the side of the road. As I got closer I noticed a very familiar design.......... a SLR. You have to understand that this is Indiana and not SOCAL, so to even see an exotic car almost is cause for a parade. I didn't even know someone owned a SLR in Indy. Anyway, behind the SLR is a beat-up POS brown Blazer that had smashed into the back of the SLR. Behind the SLR I see a guy that looks in his 30's down on his knees inspecting the damage, and behind the Blazer there are two girls that look like they're 16. One of them is on the phone to whom I assume is her parents. I came to almost a stop, and was just imagining the conversation: "Ummmm.....dad, errrrrrrr........ I was just involved in an accident, and I rear-ended another car." Are you okay? "Yeah I'm fine, but the guy I hit says it's a special Mercedes SL or something, and it's worth over a half a million dollars......"

BMW has a newer retail bank that finances all types of vehicles via franchises. Its called Alphera Financial Services but on their titles its still BMWFS which is possibly the case here. BMWFS doesnt lease not BMW's.

The guy could have had a baloon lease to keep the payments lower and when the big bucks were due he said take it or something like that.
