Farewell to the beast.
The economy has taken a toll on our family finances this year so it's time to be prudent. As such, I've decided to trade in my baby for a C350. I'll cut my payment in half and still drive a pretty nice car. It's fully loaded and should be nice.
I've had a lot of fun. I just wish I had the opportunity to take it to sea level to race. I have caught so much flack for my video racing a Z06 at the motor speedway and only turning in a 12.0 time. I only went sub-12 one time because I never raced at the track with a DA lower than 6000'. Nobody believes the car is a Stage 5 Renntech car but it is...ask the vipers, P cars, motorcycles, etc who routinely get worked on the streets of Las Vegas.
It's not always easy to be prudent and when things turn around, I plan on getting back into the AMG game. The new SL65 looks pretty sweet!
I wanted to thank everyone who I've had the pleasure of communicating with on this forum. I truly have enjoyed reading most of the posts. It's got to be the best car forum around.
I'll keep visiting.

life aint all bad...
Just have to look at the bright side of things- life aint all bad when you're going from a mercedes to a mercedes. That's a whole lot better than going from a mercedes to a bicycle...
Good luck with your future!

how come you didn't list it here for sale? could have gotten a bit more than what the dealer would have given you on a trade in?
some of us are in the market for a E55....hehe
hope all works out for your family..

Sorry to hear about your loss. On the bright side, the new ride isn't bad at all and will get you fewer tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all. Yes it was a lease and the dealership I got it from is a class act. The deal they gave me on the C was very nice and the payment was almost $200 less/month than the local dealership for the same car.
Things will turn around and when they do..I'll be right back to AMG.
My old license plate read "FAST4DR." I think the new one will be "HAD AMG."
