Has anyone optioned their 211 E55 yet?

Wondering if anyone has had a chance to option out the car? Do we know what will be standard? I saw the brochure that was posted but it does not talk about options.....

Thanks

E55 options

Schiznick:

My salesman called me on Sunday (01-19) and told me that he expected the March time frame for "Options" ordering. I am # 4 at my dealership and expect to see an early 2004 delivery. Regards!!

One of my dealers (I have deposits at 2) paged me Monday saying it is time to option up. Expect the car (I've got the number 1 spot) to be pulled over the next 6 - 8 weeks, no estimate from him on delivery dates. He is faxing the option list with option prices to me but said he has no info on the price for the base car - anybody have different info?

I optioned my car about two weeks ago. They estimated costs based off of the the regular E option list.

Nothing looked standard....

Bi Zenon....
Adaptive Seats....
Pano roof
Distronic
Parktronic
Rear Window Shade
Side shades
Auto trunk close
Keyless Go

Also no option for Nav system at all.....

Strange, please let me know what you hear.....

Schiznick, are you in US? Did the dealer have an 'guesstamite' for the base price?

Hey rleander are you going to 'flip' one of your E55's. Some guy just got $16k for his #3 Audi RS6 allocation on Ebay:

I am in the US, but they have no idea what the price is going to be yet. The CLK55 that they have sat in the port at the end of 2002 while they waited for MSRP on it to be released.

I don't like ordering options without knowing prices or base but oh well......

IF i am willing to pay 2K for a phone why should it bother me right?!!

I am #2 at my dealer but got a call from another dealer this morning asking if I wanted their #1 spot for 25K over MSRP. I passed and may have my car before then anyway....Guess it will be like the first SL55's......

E55 Kev-
Any idea or guesses of what one could get for an early spot (#2 or 3) on an '03 E55 at a Washington D.C./Metro area dealership?

Thanks in advance.

If you have a E55 spot and what to 'flip it' put it on Ebay for national coverage. If someone is desparate enough they will bid no matter where they live. My guess is that $10k is probably the minimun with bids going up to $30k.

2003 SL55 owners were asking up to $180k for titled cars.

Is it just me, or does it seem as if this guy who sold the RS6, but it up to bid extremely early? I was thinking of waiting until around March to put the E55 on Ebay, any suggestions on timing?

Thanks

It does seem early. But who really knows. Getting $16k from his $1k deposit is really nice. In a couple months it could go higher.

How does one flip their spot on ebay? Do you take delivery and then complete the transaction with the buyer? Does the buy tell you what options they want? What is the actual process of listing the spot with ebay, do you say you have a car for sale or a priority number?
Any answers to these questions would be most appreciated.

If you are selling your 'spot' you do not take delivery of the car. If you take delivery of the car the car is a used car, however, you could still sell at a premium. The options of the actual car is discussed by the new spot owner and the dealer. Once you sell your spot you are out of the process.
