Great deal on an OBD-II code reader!

My CEL came on the other day so I looked around to see if I could get my own code reader for a decent price. I came across this one and couldn't pass it up. I printed out the page, took it down to Kragen and they matched the online price (same company). It reads codes and will clear them for you as well. For $23.90 + tax, you can't go wrong! It's a quality piece and easy to use. The display is a blue backlit screen that is very easy to read.

I believe Parts America is the same company as Kragen, Checker, Schucks, O'Reilly and a few others. They should all be able to do it for you.

thanks man. I bought it this morning. unfortunately, the thing wouldn't work on my 2005 C230 and I'm afraid that that will be the case with more later model MB's...

Well that sucks. Worked perfect on my 03 E55. Did it just not work when you plugged it in or was the connector completely different?

The OBD-II connector is a standardized part there are no alternate connectors

Interesting- did you follow in the instructions in the manual? There's a certain order you have to do everything in if I recall correctly. Just trying to help- hope you get it figured out and it will in fact work.

yup, I turned on the ignition, but not with the engine on, plugged it in, it lit up and I pressed the button and it said "searching..." that's it.
