Is anyone headed out to the track Saturday night to test their new tune out?

i was just gathering information to post up on this!

on that saturday night firebird will be having an open drag night and speedworld will be hosting the azsra event in which we can enter in their competition or non-competition classes to race. competition class pits you in a bracket with vehicles of simlar et with a money prize going to the winner and non-comp is for open runs. they'll also be hosting a car show and model search so that could be entertaining.

i definitely want to go test my new tune. i honestly won't care much about what my dyno numbers show...but i better see some improvements at the track!!!

Speedworld will be having the ADRA event during the day so... Track prep might still be good for the night. The only thing that scares me about the Speedworld event is the young kids that are into the after9 events stuff. I would worry about getting my wheels stolen after i put my slicks on. I know thats stereotypical to say, but if you look at the people who go to this kind of event it has to pass through your mind. Maybe if Evan is going he can bring his trailer and we can lock up our street tires and jacks.

Tell you what though It would be funny seeing the look on those kids faces after you lay down an 11 flat.

Its like your waiting for Vin Diesel and Paul Walker to show up, but with cars that are not as cool. Its really going to be filled with 14 second cars. The good think about that is they dont break down on the track.

If you want a good hotel there are lots in Scottsdale. It depends on what you want to spend. IF you want to stay 10 min away and not do one of the big resorts in Scottsdale you could do the Marriot at Fireside. That place is nice and it has a lazy river to float in!

The Fairmont is nice i hear. search under zip code 85260 and look for stuff on Scottsdale RD.

It's actually an NHRA Summit Series team race during the day. The track will be great. I can take the trailer, but I can also have the fuel guy take care of the wheels. Only downside is high of 86 and low of 54, but won't be that cool until late in the night. Racing don't start until 7pm anyways. I doubt DA will be better than 3000'. It's heads up racing, no bracket racing. So that levels the playing field. 10 sec class, 11 sec class, 12 sec class, 13 sec class, 14 sec class, etc.

There is a small chance I'll be in Payson coaching at a softball tournament. Will know by thursday.
