Just out of curiosity how much is that setup through Renntech...20K +? I was looking at that TB and that alone was $4,500.

BTW...great times. Have you thought about adding the speed shift through Renntech? I tried to get it but Renntech will only sell if you have their tune.

i got it and the airbox for that price .. i had the speed shift but the file it's on didn't work with my car threw off my airfuel ratio .. they r making me a file now to add the speed shift .. when i had it in the car it did shift very fast and loved it but the file didn't work cause the airfuel ratio was off and lost power so i had them take it out till they add it to my tune i have now

1.714 is also very good and puts you are right up there with some of the faster launches.

I don't think a Quaife would improve your time very much, if at all. Drag radials and/or a high stall torque converter (e.g. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...rter-hstc.html) might shave off a bit more.

Blackbenz has the lowest 60' time yet recorded at 1.557 seconds. He used both drag radials and an HSTC.

I was so ready to pull the trigger on LET's HSTC but I'm going to wait for a few more cars to get it on and see how the axles holds up.

ya i agree with u i have to do research on that .. but alot of cars on dragtimes have the quaife rear diff. and seems to be helping them out .. i'm getting close to the point where i'm ready to sell the car cause i'm running out of things to do to it lol ... i want sl65 but wife is not really on board yet cause of what i have spent on this car but i'll get her lol

Don't stop until you reach 10's. You still have cams, Quaife, and HSTC to go and that should be enough to put you right up there with the fastest E55's. Where and when did you run your times?

i'm in orlando i run at orlando speed world . i have looked into the cams and feel without a doubt it can run 10's but track keeps telling me i need a cage and no way am i putting a cage in .. so they let me get one good pass then slow me down... but if i spin or feel like it wasn't a good launch i coast down track and not let it get heat soaked

i'm using mickey thompson et street radials. i was really expecting to see a big difference in my 60ft times at the track after the quaiffe. unfortunately after several outings my 60ft times didn't improve more than .001s. i've theorized that the real reason i'm not seeing significant improvements with the quaiffe (or drag radials for that matter) is tq management software in the ecu/tcu but that's JUST a theory. although my theory seems to make more sense when i see so many modded e55's stuck right around 1.70 60ft times.

the slr cams don't offer much over oem so the car is no different at idle than a stock e55. i've heard the vrp cams are much more aggressive and do change idle characteristics.

If your lighting up one tire then I would say do the quaife for sure. There's no point in getting more power to the rear if you can't make it stick. If that's not an issue then cams, header/exhaust, or a high stall torque converter may be in your future. My only concern with the converter would be day to day driveability. Ofcouse the other mods would have benefits beyond the initial 60 as well.

E55 AMG Kompressor
I really am finding it hard to under stand How
NXtremeJeep said in his thread he got 122mph with just pulley and tune and vinnyz got 123mph with 82 mm tb , airbox , headers , tune , and pulley , intercooler upgrade.

Whats the deal with that if nxtremejeep can get 122mph with only pulley and tune vinny should be getting way more mph with all them mod's

Whats the deal are they both e55 kompressors we are talking about ?
