i know this request is a bit off but i have sold the wife's Denali and since i want to keep the E55 as more of a toy vs. a commuter car thinking of possibly getting an M5 or RS4.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking 06 M5 below $40K for or 07 RS4 under $40k since it will be a daily driver. Hoping to find one in CA as that would be easiest for me. N CA is where I live but S. CA is easy too.

I will give Rock $10,500 just because he is a stand up guy!

Any suggestions on which is best way to get a car with the prices listed above?

Those are all auction net prices which dont include auction fees, transport, recon, and any other dealer incurred costs. You have to have a dealer license to get a shot at those costs. Your best chance is to use Autotrader and see if there are any deals local to you. Beware that the prices will be higher but truly you can go and visit a local dealership and they should be willling to move these types of cars. These values are to provide perspective but dont expect to see these prices on a window sticker (except Rocks)

Thanks for all the info. I know the shop that works on our 202 specialize in only MB and BMW and have a dealers license so I will hit them up and see when/what they can find me.

one last request - you seen anything interesting on 07 S4 wagons at auctions?

 

I was just actually searching, for real this time and believe it or not, EBAY, had some dealer auctions on S4 avants, going pretty cheap. Just an FYI.

Let me see ... zero recent sales so these numbers are way outdated given the current economy--- one day can make a difference and the last sale was back in Oct 2008. But you can get a good gauge that prices will be lower, hopefully much lower:
