So I got called out by a K3 E55...
Well they are pretty much my friends and they recently bought the E55 of one of the Board members here. His car is a K3, has a kleeman tune, along with TB, headers, pulley, Heat Exchanger and a full CPT exhaust with eisenmann and HRE's C21. The car is a beast.
It recently was dyno'ed and put out 558RWHP...some how it is hard to believe since it does not have cams and prolly first generation pulley.
So the other night they were heading to mexico and gave me a ring to see if I wanted to join the Beach party. , unfortunately I couldn't join because I did not have rear brakes and car was getting serviced the following day. Now my car is ready to rumble so was thinking of maybe meeting them this weekend for some fun runs. I know my car is a fat pig, but it has a boat load of torque. If I run him I will either do it from a roll and also try a stand. Either way will let you know of the outcome.
My car is not modded. All it has is a 5 gallon water reservoir in the trunk but it does wonders.

I wouldn't count it a fail yet....dyno's don't mean jack..it's all a controlled environment, blah, blah, blah...lol! Wait let me take that back...they mean somehting but in this case a dyno could be manipulated to put out a desired number...just tough to believe I guess...

LOL...I think so. Have you seen an E55 with similar Mods with that kind of power output? Most I have seen with that set up is 525~530 Whp....we will go to the video tape.

My old E55 (when it was a little slower circa 500 rwhp) ran a modded CL 65 (560 rwhp) from a dig and he was 2 cars up at 160. From the dig he was even more ahead and the CL started to reel him in. From a roll at 30-160 the CL would take him by a few lengths.
So these are my experiences with an "on paper" slower E55 and faster CL65 versus what you will encounter. Id be pushing for the roll and some budda...

V12Godspeed, in all seriousness, remove your air filters and juice up on 100 Octane before the race. Removing your exhaust wouldn't hurt either. The exhaust and air filters alone should go you plenty good for this race and if VIc says you have a chance stock, I'm pretty sure with what I've mentioned you just might take the BEAST.
I remember your E55 Vic... no pushover...

I just don't see a stock CL65 pulling a 560WHP E55... I remember my E55 and that thing was near-stock, I can only imagine the hell a K3 E55 would unleash; but hey if you say he has a chance...

Oh Jody will lose (CL65) I just dont think it will be epic--- it will be car lengths though. Now just remember one thing- peak hp is exactly that, at the peak and who knows where the E55 was dyno'd or the conditions. Im not saying its not true but 558 rwhp is not a stage III car or at least one that I have seen. 558 rwhp is usually associated with stage V and beyond monsters. But if the power curve of that E55 is light, watch the 65 make a move. This is all speculation- so just race already!!!!
But we will only know after the race,... there is nothing I am looking more forward to doing than to put this to the test.

Wow! 550 rwhp is a fricken monster. I didn't realize K3's ran these numbers without a cam. My car is somewhere in the high 400's and my 1/4 mile times with VR600 on street tires is 11.5's @ 124. I could only imagine what a 550 rwhp car would do...if it got traction. Either way it should be a blast and be safe...
