Do you think it is simply cheap or there must be some problem with it??

I was thinking salvage title but the description says no accidents....perhaps it's just a guy who needs the extra cash quick. Wouldn't surprise me considering the current economic conditions. I'm sure there is a Philly member here who might check it out for ya...

Two things:
1. You generally get what you pay for.
2. If he needed cash that bad, a no reserve auction on ebay would do the job just fine and probably net FAR more for a 41K mile car.
I would be worried that it is a scam or a wreck rebuild but even that doesn't quite explain the price.

Seems way to low, but who knows someone might need the money asap. IMO I would be careful. I just got 27k for my e500 with 47k miles...

Scam. But don't run. F**k with 'em! Email them telling them (from a bogus acct) let us keep us updated on what they say.
Most likely, they will respond, "I am selling this for a client...." or "the car is located in a storage facility..." etc. If that is the case, it's a typical scam.

There is a number listed, why doesn't someone in that area call and try and locate the seller. Real or fake, try to set up a meet. I had a car on auto trader and this guy kept offering me more. I said I'll take it, 2 days later a cashiers check came in the mail. I told him I didn't get it and I was selling the car to someone else if he didn't send the money right away. 2 days later another cashiers check comes in the mail. They were good, but still fake. I contacted the bank and faxed over all the info with shipping addresses, names, phone numbers. Never heard back from the bank or the buyer.

Something is up for sure, if it was truly a PA vehicle, it would have emission & inspection stickers in the drivers side lower corner of the windshield. This vehicle clearly doesn't have either one of those stickers...

I would say SCAM alert is VERY high on this one.
Were is the VIN # that Autotrader asks for![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
If not, have them give you the vin, and then run it through a MB dealer. Watch will you will find out then![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
See yeah

It says "Adult Owner (Pastor)" i'm not sure which pastor has that kind of cash to purchase an E55 then get rid of it for a loss? unless he's stealing from the parish.

Exactly my thought! No pastor makes that kind of dough, except of course for the televangelist crooks you see on tv.

Normally I see the prices way too high, this is too low especially with 41k miles. I would say its a either a branded/salvaged title or its a MBUSA buyback (lemon).

Scam scam scam
use google to search for a unique sentence in his description. In this case search with quotes "Please contact me by e-mail if you are interested as I may not be available on the phone all the time!" and you will get this:

Popular scam on autotrader...
....typically they'll post pics of someone else's car, offer it at a ridiculously low price, throw this "contact me by email" crap in there because the ad has a bogus phone number, and then in response to your email will give you the old escrow routine...another variation I've heard of is to actually arrange to meet, then rob you.
Write him up and ask for the VIN. You'll probably get one; google it and you'll probably find the same car for sale somewhere else as the "seller" just lifted it off another ad.
The thing is this: there are a lot of stupid people in this world, but I've never seen someone stupid enough to sell a car for less than they could get for it wholesale. Santa Claus does NOT exist.
