Looks good! Was it difficult to remove the factory star from your steering wheel?

Didn't have too. Put it on right over the star and you cant tell at all.

I personally like it. I realize not every one might. Its an easy removal in case I ever want it undone. Goes on with 3M tape over the existing star. There are a bunch of different badges on ebay for the steering wheel. I liked this one the best.

true but it is holding very well. I dont think it will have any problems. If it does, I will remove the star.

I've got a very similar badge I got from eBay too, but I mounted it on the right side of my dash in the corner where the passenger sits. Looks very factory.

Aren't you concerned if you get in an accident that metal badge could implant itself in the back of your throat?

Not trying to be a smartass, just curious.

I was going to put the badge there too at first but I did not due to the airbag being there. Agree it would look nice there but the airbag situation makes it a less than ideal spot.

I would be more concerned about the pen in your top pocket or your fist caving your head in (dont blow horn during crash)
I can't understand passengers with their feet on the dash in modern cars. Head injury death by impact with your own snapped legs. What a way to go eh.

I like your new badges.

thanks for all the positive feedback guys.

on a side note, the 2nd badge is actually metal (not the plastic kind).

I remember several years ago on a BMW board when someone posted a similar steering wheel mod. Our resident airbag design engineer had a meltdown when he saw it. Based on his reasoning, I would not be taping a potential projectile to the front of the steering wheel.
